Leonard V. Sommer '47 and his wife Elizabeth came up to St. Louis for the Christmas holidays from his home in Memphis, Tenn. Leonard looks fine, and it was a pleasure to see them again as we miss them from our St. Louis association.

We were very glad to welcome William T.Pinney '41 who has moved to St. Louis and now is district manager for George S. May Company. He has been attending our luncheons and meetings and it was a pleasure to have him affiliated with our association.

On Thursday noon, December 28, we had our regular luncheon at the Missouri Athletic Club for the boys in college as well as prospective students for the coming freshman class. The luncheon was well attended and we had a very interesting talk from Roy Reynolds '51 and also a very enthusiastic and interesting talk from Robert Mollenauer '54. There were about 115 people attending and after the luncheon, Pierre Grace '33 had his investigating committee working and about 20 boys were interviewed. There were about 35 prospective students at the luncheon and they all seemed to be very alert and interesting, and we hope that quite a few of them will pass the admission committee.

On Friday night, December 29 at the Westborough Country Club in Webster Groves, the Dartmouth alumni and their wives and friends gave a farewell party for Tom Curtis '32, prior to his leaving for Washington to assume his new duties as Congressman from Missouri. For the evening, Ted Thompson '33 had written a play depicting Tom's life from boyhood to his election as a Congressman. It was ably shown by pantomime acting with Marty Kerwin '33 representing Tom during his life. He was ably assisted by BoydRogers '34 and wife Ruth, Mrs. Marty Kerwin, Sparky Adams '43 and Russell Fette '39. This show was a complete surprise to Tom. After the show, dancing was engaged in for the remainder of the evening and we ail wish Tom good luck in his work at Washington, D. C.

We were sorry to have William, W. Wotherspoon '40 leave our community; he has just been made industrial relations manager of the Ford Motor Car Company, Engine Division, Chicago, Ill.
