Bill Hutchinson has responded to the appeal for a letter and here it is. Good news from him and Carrie.

It was fine of you to send me a picture taken of the fellows that attended the 51st Annual Boston Roundup I must plead guilty to be one of those that tailed to heed your call for news from the men in the class for the reports that you so faithfully write for the ALUMNI MAGAZINE.

Well, Mother and I don't move around very much. Last fall I watched the Dartmouth-Penn football game in our daughter and son-in-law's living room on their TV in Philadelphia. They wanted to take me to see the game but it was cold and we thought it was safer to see it at home.

"Carrie and I returned yesterday from a visit to see Sarah Ellen, our oldest daughter, and family at Penn State College. Her husband has recently been made Superintendent of the English Experimental research laboratory at the College. Our son's milk business here at home is doing very well. About a month ago they decided to make a change. They were buying a part of the milk used in the pasteurizing plant and on account of the high cost of labor and feed, he decided to sell his milking herd at public sale and buy all his milk. He retained all the young stock. Many of the cows had made high milk and butter fat records in the county testing association. The high cow sold for $970 and the 26 head averaged over $600 each. Many of the large milk trucks that collect and haul milk to Pittsburgh pass our farm. So by joining the D.C.S. they will leave all the milk we need each day in the plant.

Well, I don't know what is going to happen to the labor question or with all the other troubles in the world."

James Greenwood, son of "Bill" and MaryGreenwood, was elected a member of the School Board of Longmeadow, Mass., February 6. He has been connected with the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company in Springfield, of which Longmeadow is a suburb, since 1932, and has been personnel manager of the company for the last ten years. He is active in Boy Scout activities in his town, a member of the First Church, and is married and has two children. Mary can be justifiably proud of her son's career and also of a new granddaughter, the third, Sara Davis, born February 25 to her son John and his wife Margaret. The same date was the birthday of Mary and also of Mrs. Tom Whittier. The desire has been expressed to have again this year an informal class family gathering at Swampscott in June. Due notice later.
