Howard Harris writes me that, of the 22 Phi Beta Kappa graduates in 1902 55% are living; while, of the remainder of the Class, only 40% are left. I never realized we had that many wise boys in the Class, and I hope they will all come in June and tell us the secret of their longevity.

Oscar Perkins writes to tell how much he enjoyed his year with us in Hanover and that he now realizes what a mistake he made in not staying. In the past few years he has been back several times, staying at the Inn. Oscar married Bert Perley's sister and he says, "She is a wonderful wife." They have one son living in Danvers and two grandchildren. One of the high points of Oscar's life was six years in the Legislature. Best news is that he wrote, "Mrs. Perkins and I will try our best to get back to Hanover for the Reunion."

Bert Perley, whom we all remember as a fine fellow, left us after two years to go into the grocery business in Danvers. It is an interesting fact that this grocery business was the oldest in the country which had remained in one family. It was founded in 1790 by Allan Proctor Perley, who had the same middle name as Bert.

"Soap" Davis, from California, is coming to the Reunion and is trying to persuade Kircher to come along. There is real class spirit, to come that distance, and "Soap" has it. Surely, if he can come, all the rest of us should be there.

John Walker is also coming from Washington, D. C., where he has lived since he retired as engineer in the Public Roads Department in August, 1948.

Don't forget the Reunion of the five classes, 1900-1905 at Schraffts, 6:30 p.m., May 9, in Boston.

Jimmy Huntington writes: "I have retired from the practice of obstetrics and gynecology and have accepted a full time position with the blood mobile unit of the American Red Cross at the sub-station for Western Massachusetts here in Northampton. It is a restful and thoroughly enjoyable change from the hectic life of a midwife.

"I shall be in Hanover on the 7th and Bth of June. Perhaps getting there on the 6th."
