Greetings, gang! We hope you all had a stupendous summer and that many of our overseas delegation have now returned.

Seeing Howie Reed and his wife Torry just last evening reminds us that we must pass on some of the scads of good news we have received during our hibernation. Howie and Torry, who have been teaching near Lake Placid the past couple of years, are now here in Minneapolis, where Howie will attend the U. of Minn. School of Hospital Management. Incidentally, Don Smith has just completed the same and one year's residency at General Hospital here, and has now returned to Hanover, and we believe Mary Hitchcock. With our visas and passports we crossed over into Wisconsin one night last week for a picnic, and through the fire's glow and the beer keg's roar, we saw and heard Dave Barker. Sorry we didn't get a chance for a visit.

A nice note from Dick Patton (Lieutenant, I should say) written last June just before de parture for a ten-day leave in France, flaming Paris, and Brussels, told of Riley Daniels '52 - showing up in a bar and winding up work, ing for Dick.

A swell note from Buck Scott from Kwam dae-Ri, Korea, tells of his interesting work as an engineer Intelligence officer; although we sincerely hope his desire to be returning to the U. S. and his wife and baby girl, Eliza beth, born January 14, just before Buck's de parture for the Far East, has been fulfilled Johnny Greenwood writes that he is learning to supply everyone from Ike to the man in the moon at the Supply Officer's School at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. John hit basic training with smiling and red-haired Casey McKibben. However, the biggest news of all is that just before the supply school, John was married to Joan Voss of Scarsdale. Tall about doing it up fast—Joan graduated from Wellesley on June 15 and they were married that afternoon. Charlie Hood added '51 zipbang as usher, and Bob Torrifohrde's wife Mary handled the female side as bridesmaid, Speaking of marriages, let's hear who had their nuptials read:

NUPTIAL READING

Blissful these days are Miss Stephanie Woods and Ensign Jeff Hart, whose engagement was announced recently. Jeff, of course, completed graduate work at Columbia and starred on the tennis team, while his lovely lady hails from Forest Hills Gardens, N. Y. Also tripping over his feet these days is Li.Jack Lotz, who after a very fine courtship was able to persuade Janet Freeman to say "yes." Jack is stationed at Washington, D. C.

Vin Marriott and Isabel Singer happily announced their plans in August. The wedding date isn't set yet, as Vin is helping out Undt Sam, and Isabel is attending graduate school of Social Service at Fordham. It certainly is wonderful to hear of girls like her preparing to help this much wanting world, and Vinnie is the greatest! To digress a few lines, we forgot to mention that Bob Tomfohrde and Mary Clay were married on June 30 in Paterson, N. J. Bill Michener, Dave White, and John Marshall all represented the '51 family as ushers. Proof again that the cup is at the lip in the toast of fellowship. Mary and Bob are in Boston attending Tufts Med School.

We were tickled to death to hear that old Dave Skinner and Marion Jackson didn't wail long after their engagement was announced before becoming Mr. and Mrs. The young couple were married May 9 in Berkeley, Calif We are sure they will be very happy, and don't forget that anyone going through Sausalito, Calif., is entitled to all the free "sauce" he can drink on Dave. From far distant Hono lulu, the land of Waikiki, comes a beautiful picture of Mo Monahan's bride-elect, Martha Wysard. Mo is finally out of the marines thank goodness, and we're sure a wedding date will be set soon.

The most breath-taking news of all just came in from Frankfurt, Germany, and Mr.and Mrs. James Danaher. The great news is that on July 28 Jim became the father of twin boys!! Pat is doing marvelously well. The) both have a damn good right to be the proudest people in the whole of Germany, and I know all the join us in wishing them our best.

Lyndonville, Vt., was the scene recently of the marriage of Jane McEttrick and EdgarMiller. Jane and Ray honeymooned in Bermuda, and are now living on Park Drive in Boston. Jane graduated from the Mary Hitchcock School of Nursing, and is now studying at Simmons College in Boston, while Ed is now in his last year at Harvard Med. AI Holt performed beautifully as best man, and Jim Cavanaugh and John Highland rounded out a practically all '51 crew of assistants.

JUST DIGRESSING

No one can forget the tremendous year that Dave Hilton has turned in for us and the Alumni Fund as Class Agent. Winning the Little Green Derby is proof enough that he did, as usual, an outstanding job. I know Dave would want credit to go to all the class agents and members of the Class who made the success possible. Thanks all, for keeping '51 on top.

With the truce in Korea, all hope that our '51 friends will be returning soon. The far eastern intelligence reports that 2nd Lt. ArtHannington was recently assigned as a platoon leader serving in Korea. Whoever thought Pinky Pfaff would never see bell bottom trousers could have turned about on May 8 to see Pinky, Fritz von Heimherg, Jeff Hart, and Doc Dey '52 graduating as ensigns at Newport, R. I. The boys were dispersed to points between Gibralter and Korea. Report on Dick Hulbert, of tennis playing renown, is that he's down Ft. Bliss, Texas, way with the Guided Missiles Artillery. We certainly hope that now Windy Curtis won't have to use the course he has just completed in chemical bacterial and radiological warfare, and that he will soon be getting back to his job with Maxon, Inc., in Detroit.

That's just about it for an opener. Let's hear from more of you soon. A telegram just in from Cape Cod reports that Jeff O'Connell spent the summer as a bartender, and in the Midwest, Chicago to be exact, Herb Knight is shuffling thousand dollar bills. Until next month, Dave.
