The following notice to class secretaries will explain why the notes of the Class of 1895 are withheld:

"The 1953 Alumni Fund Report will appear in the ALUMNI MAGAZINE as a special eight-page supplement inserted in the middle of the December issue, but the lists of contributors will be printed with the class notes as usual. We therefore request that the notes for December be kept as concise as possible and that some items, where the time element is not pressing, be held over for the following month. The Fund lists this time will be the longest we have ever printed."
