George Brickelmaier writes that he has seen or heard from no one. I'm with you, George; this has been an easy month on the postal service.

Brick is building contemporary houses in Hollin Hills, Alexandria, Va., and boasting one 15-month-old daughter. He also made some controversial remark about "waiting for Adlai in '56." Another fugitive from Washin ton who just got over the state line.

Do you remember Colby Junior College in New London, N. H.? Well, Chuck Herberger is currently an authority on said community in his new position as instructor in English there.

Hal Eckardt, once pace-setter among the bachelor speed merchants, is now a grand old family man racing to catch the 5:13 for Rye. Harold is putting up a game fight for his only head of hair and seems to be holding his own. The sight of Eck quietly relaxing with his lovely wife and little daughter is enough to strike terror to the heart of the hardiest bachelor.

As for the bachelor ranks, they recently lost one of their foremost members when J.Lawlor Farley and Mrs. Martha Churchill of Plainfield, N. H., were married January 24. Doesn't this momentous event call for a letter from you, Tim - the first, that is?

Bob Gorman, proud father of three boys, is another Times Square operator. Bob works in the textile business for the J. P. Stevens Co. off Times Square and then heads for home in Riverside, Conn. The Gormans and the Bill Friends had a recent get together. Bill is with a New York brokerage firm.

Bob Waldron reports that his law practice is encountering stiff competition for his time from his activity in the Detroit Young Republican organization. The Waldrons welcomed their first child, a daughter, last fall.

Addison L. Winship II, the class of ig42's gift to the Alumni Council, contributed a most welcome letter to our meager bag for the month. Just the mention of Ad reminds me that April sees the kickoff of the Alumni Fund drive. There's a perfect answer for the question of what to do with those big refund checks from the Internal Revenue Dept.

Ad, one of the lucky ones who gets to Hanover periodically, saw Ben Page and Gardieand Pat Bridge on recent visits to the College. Texan Tom Harriman was reported lurking about MIT on Bell Aircraft business.

Bill Donovan, Detroit department store tycoon, is now back in the harness after recuperating from recent surgery.

Now I hear that Joe Palamountain is writing a book.

The Dartmouth Association of Northern California and Nevada recently sent me their register which points out that they were founded in 1881 as the first Dartmouth Alumni Association west of the Rockies. Now don't go 'way, here comes the punch line. The assistant secretary of this worthy body is none other than Jim Wilbee, a manufacturer's agent residing in San Francisco. Among others are listed some '42s who have gone unreported herein in the past months.

Fred Brutschy, a chemist with the California Research Corp. in Richmond; BillClark, district manager with the Farrington Manufacturing Co. in San Francisco; JohnStewart, an accountant with the California Research and Development Co. in Frisco.

A couple more '42s have been heard from on the West Coast. John Furth is metallurgist with the Solar Aircraft Co. in San Diego while living in nearby La Jolla. Eric fiaessler is practicing law in Portland and living in Oswego, Ore. John Brill has abandoned the grand old state of New Hampshire for a position as Washington District Officer, Corps of Engineers, Washington, D. C.

Friends, business associates and fellow Dartmouth men have joined together to es- tablish a College scholarship fund in the name of the late Bill Remsen '43. For those of us who want to participate in this fitting tribute, Jack Tobin at 64 Montrose Ave., South Orange, N. J., is heading 42 activity.

The Schoonmakers will be competing with me for class news with the 1942 Newsletter during the next few months. Bob and Mary can't help but be better letter writers than I am, so stand by for the flood of correspondence. I think I'll switch to post cards.
