Dr. and Mrs. Ed Matthews are the proud parents of their first daughter Anne Hastie born February 13, 1953. The latest records place the Matthews location in Clifton, N. J., so we assume Ed has left Army life in favor of civilian status.
Late news from recently ordained Rev. JohnMansfield is that he has been assigned to St. Anthony's Parish in North Woburn, Mass Norm Fink tells of the publication in the March 1953 University of Michigan Law Review of his article, "That Pierced VeilFriendly Stockholders and Enemy Corporations." Norm further mentions seeing FrankWeber occasionally, that both Ham Chase and Dave Stahl have new additions to their families, and that he, Norm, continues as a lawyer with Remington Rand, N.Y.C.
We recently received a nice note from LenSommers, in Memphis, Tenn., regular to regular, concerning the Alumni Fund. Chuck Way continues with George S. Richardson, consulting engineer, but after spending the past five years in the office, he is enjoying living in North Lima, 0., working as resident engineer for a section of the Ohio turnpike.
Ham Chase tells of the recent birth, March 16. of his second son Tommy. Tom has been with Pratt-Whitney Aircraft in Hartford for several years, as has Bill Buckingham; and Tom Harrington at the Hamilton Standard plant in Windsor Locks, Conn. Tony Cantella continues with Prince Macaroni Manufacturing Co. after a year with the USMC, part of which was spent in Camp Lejeune. Tony is now Executive Vice President and General Manager for the New York firm. The company is presently enlarging their facilities with a second plant in Brooklyn.
Bill Huntsman has recently received a promotion to ist Lieutenant and expects to return home from Korea this fall. Dexter Brooks visited the Hanover Inn during April. Phyllis Evelyn was born April 5, 1953, to Everett and Wary Nordstrom, third Child, second daughter, The Nordstromd are now living in West Caldwell, N. J.
Miss Sheila Elizabeth Sweeney was recently engaged to Don Evans. She is a 1950 graduate of Smith college and Don is now associated with the law fir m of Goodwin, Proctor and Hoar in Boston.
Miss Rosemary Therese Sullivan was recently engaged to Jim Murphy who is presently attending Boston College Law School. The former Miss Marilyn Black was married March 19 in Boston, Mass., to Burt Zuckernik. Burt is General Manager of Palco Chemical Corp.
