Just spent several days in Hanover. Great time. You ought to go back, first chance, see the scenery and make friends again.

We are pleased to have received recently a fine letter from Bob Prew '52, brother of our classmate Jim Prew. Shortly after graduation Jim joined the Discalced Carmelites, a Roman Catholic religious order. Upon entering he took the name of Brother Damian. Since that time he has been studying for the priesthood and will be ordained in August 1955. Last September he was chosen to represent the American Province of that order at a House of Studies at Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel. He will be stationed there for at least two years as the only American representative among Carmelite brothers from all over the world. It is expected that his ordination will take place either at Mount Carmel or in Jerusalem. We are sure Jim would be glad to hear from some of his old Dartmouth friends, including Jack Wagner, Morrie Polsky and Ernie Caster.

Jim and Frances Kelley are the proud parents of Barbara Jean, born March 22, in the Creole Petroleum Corporation Hospital, Caripito, Venezuela. Jim has been there with the Creole Petroleum Corp. since 1948 as a geologist! Dave Wright was a recent visitor at the Hanover Inn. Dave was with the Shell Oil Company as an accountant and salesman in 1948 and 1949, and since 1952 has been with the State Bank in Des Moines, lowa, his home town. He is a bachelor.

Thanks to some first-hand reporting by Reg Pierce '46, we can offer several up-to-date comments. Meff Runyon is with the leading law firm in Bridgeport, Conn., doing a fine job. He is a Cornell Law School grad and has a home in Nichols, Trumbull, Conn. Meff lost his wife Anne last year of cancer; they have two boys.

Grant Tinker and wife Ruth have two children and are expecting a third. Grant is with the Moses TV packaging of shows firm. Grant left a fine job a year or so ago as radio program director at NBC. The Tinkers live in Darien, Conn. Bob Widholm is with Lennen and Newell, a NYC advertising agency, as a time buyer on Schlitz and Colgate. Bob remains a bachelor. He was student at Pace College in 1948, and a year later worked with Lenner and Mitchell in advertising as a radio accountant.

Bun Harvey has completed his second tour with the Marines, at Quantico this time, and is back with Harvey Steel. Bun and his wife Janet have two boys and two girls. He still gets a little basketball workout, reminiscent of the Varsity days at Hanover. Bob and Connie Albrecht are living in New Rochelle, N. Y. Bob continues with W. T. Grant, chain stores, and is presently merchandising manager for the New York territory.

Sandy Gross continues as account executive with BBD&O advertising agency on the GEMEX watch account. Ralph Bachwich is doing manufacturing and sales work in Flint, Mich. He has been doing this type of work since graduation, first with R. H. Macy, Inc., in 1946, and later with Jane Garrott, Inc.

Sam Brody, a graduate of the Harvard Architecture School, is an architect in NYC with Lewis Davis & Associates. Chuck Meyer is with the American Surety Co. in their subrogation department. Chuck has a Bachelor of Laws degree from St. John's University, 1953. Previous to that he was a master at Morristown School in 1947, and a year later an instructor at the Tutoring School of New York. Chuck and his wife Mary have one son, Peter, bom in 1949.

Dr. Ed Peters is asst. research director with E. I. duPont Co. in Buffalo, N. Y. Ed received his Ph.D. in chemistry at the State University of lowa in 1951 and was research chemist with duPont at Waynesboro, Va., before moving to Buffalo, his home town. Neil Russell has just changed his. address from Rangeley, Maine, to 1275 S. .Lucerne Blvd., Los Angeles 19, Calif. We wonder if he continues to work with General Electric ?

Dr. Dick Small is on active duty with the U. S. Navy, stationed at Kittery, Maine. George Scala has been with J. L. Hudson Co. for several years, and is now assistant division merchandise manager in the Home Furnishings Division.

Bob Freelander is a special lecturer at Boston University on the physically handicapped and is a member of President Eisenhower's committee for their aid. A manufacturer of toys that are sold nationally, he employs only those who are disabled. In order to communicate with workers who are blind and deaf, Bob learned the manual alphabet. He designed special jigs., shears, sewing machines and other equipment for their use. He is a graduate of Michigan Business School.
