The Dartmouth Club of Western Pennsylvania has had a very active summer, commencing with a fine turn-out for the annual picnic in June and ending with a fifth place by the Club in the first annual Western Pennsylvania Ivy League Alumni Association Golf Tournament.

The following officers were elected for the year 1954-1955: Fred Garfield, president; SamCoombs, Fred. Ingram and Mort Burden, vice presidents; Maury Baruth, treasurer; and Carll Tracy, secretary.

On July 28 the Club held a dinner at the University Club in honor of Bill Eaton '17. For many years Bill has been the guiding spirit behind the growth and development of the Dartmouth Club of Western Pennsylvania. Bill's presence will be sorely missed, but though we all hated to see him leave Pittsburgh, we certainly envied him his new home in the Hanover Hills.

The Club will hold its annual Dartmouth Night celebration at the University Club on October 1. The guest speaker will be Dr. Carlson, for many years the head basketball coach at the University of Pittsburgh.

In November, the Dartmouth debating team will be the guest of the University of Pittsburgh for a series of debates in the various high schools of the Greater Pittsburgh area.
