Our second annual get-together with the Cornell Club of Essex County is now history and a history-making event it was. Another large group turned out and from all appearances, a fine time was had by all. With dual masters of ceremonies the order of the evening, it fell on the capable shoulders of GusWiedenmeyer '29 to handle the Dartmouth end of the festivities. Gus did a swell job, as did nationally-known sports authority, Stanley Woodward in his role of featured speaker of the evening. Mr. Woodward is sports editor of the Newark Star Ledger and although an Amherst man, nonetheless proved a most entertaining speaker.

Other entertainment was provided by David Bancel, Cornell alumnus and a very sharp monologuist, and The Riffs, a local singing group numbering two Dartmouths in their personnel. The group topped the evening off with songs of both schools.

Next event on the schedule is the annual dinner in February with a guest speaker from the College, who helps get us back in touch with the doings on the Hanover Plain. Until we see you there, a joyous Christmas and a happy 1955 to everyone.
