Thanks to Ray Atwood and our highly esteemed "Twoter" newsletters, classmates undoubtedly know about the changes that have recently occurred in '22, but friends in contemporary classes may not yet know, so . . .

With unanimous approval of '22s executive committee, John D. Dodd has succeeded our sadly departed Wilbur W.Bullen as class president. Jack is a Dartmouth Trustee emeritus (1961-1971) and a former member of the boards of overseers of Thayer School and of Tuck School. He was national chairman of the highly successful 1961 and 1962 Alumni Fund programs.

In business, Jack finished his 44-year Bell System career as vice president of New York Telephone Company. He and his wife, Fran, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in October 1985. They are the parents of two married daughters and five grandchildren. The good fortunes of 1922 will continue with Jack at the helm.

The sorrowful losses of Bill Bullen and Charlie Throop likewise left vacancies in the class executive committee. With similar unanimity, Dr. Norman T. Crane and Sumner D. Kilmarx now have committee membership. Other committee members are Ray Atwood, Haskell Cohn, WarrenDaniell, Jack Dodd, Carroll Dwight, IkeMiller, Stan Miner, Len Morrissey, and Spenny Smith.

As of June 30, 1986, Spenny Smith elected to terminate his tenure as Alumni Fund head class agent. Dartmouth and the class owe him genuine gratitude for his 14 years as our head agent. During those years Spenny received many wellmerited commendations for establishing new Alumni Fund class records, and he leaves with the very best wishes of all classmates. Dartmouth also owes special thanks to Spenny's wife, Marj (Rankin), for her appreciated assistance on 1922's Alumni Fund activities.

Warren F. Daniell became 1922's head agent as of July 1, 1986. No classmate has more steadfast loyalty to the class and to the College. Prior to retirement in 1966, Warren was manager of engineering and research for the Great Northern Paper Company where he had worked for 43 years. For the past 20 years he has lived in Hanover, where he still jogs in summer just as he does on Sanibel Island, Fla., in winter. He is the father of four sons and two daughters. The four sons graduated from Exeter and subsequently three from Dartmouth and one from Cornell. One daughter graduated from Middlebury and the other from Mt. Holyoke.

Warren was chairman for our 60th reunion, and he will continue as such for our 65th reunion, June 12-14, 1987. On that happy occasion we can all personally congratulate him and his wife, Jeanne. We will all be there, of course!
