February 1954 ROBERT H. ZEISER, CAPT. DAVID S. VOGELS JR.

The hectic holidays have just ended, and I sincerely hope that yours were as pleasant as ours here in snow-less Rhode Island. Over the holiday period I did run into many of you in one town or another. For instance, I managed a day off last week to wend my way up to Hanover to see part of the Invitation Basketball Tournament. While there I had much opportunity to visit Mike and Lois McGean at their lovely home in Norwich and to talk at the Gym at length with John and Joan Sweetland, who are now living in Hanover, from where John tours N. H., Vermont, and Northern Mass., for the American Hospital Supply Corporation. Naturally he has an ideal home base, and likes his work very much.

Herb Gramstorff was in R. I. with his parents one day two weeks ago and dropped in for a visit. He is on Tom Swartz' reunion committee in the N.Y.C. area, so could keep me up to date on their doings. He says the first mailing with reunion dope will go out this next week. I sure hope you'll be planning ahead for the big June weekend - remember that's June 18-19-20. Of the many nice Christmas cards I received, most from classmates indicated that they too expected to attend.

Just yesterday Jack and Peggy Kilmartin were here for an evening, and they too assured me the trip was a must. Jack is the Vice Prexy of his dad's Jewelry Findings Plant here in Providence and has fathered both a son and a daughter.

Last week out in Woonsocket at a party I met Harv and Jane Nolan and Ken and MimiWheeler. At last report, their glasses were still tipped, so my report must be that all was fine. The Nolans have two young lads, and the Wheelers have one daughter.

The other day Johnny Stockwell called to discuss this year's Fund drive. John again will be our Class Agent this year and is even now beginning to set up his campaign. I hope you'll all give him your whole-hearted cooperation. We're glad to welcome John back to the job after a two-year "leave," while he was back in the graduate school of hospital administration. He now is one of the assistant supervisors at the large Rhode Island Hospital.

I'd like to acknowledge beautiful Christmas cards from the following: Fran and Clay Morey, Mimi and David Vogels, Chet Palmer, Harv and Jane Nolan, Jack and Peggy Kilmartin, Terry Maphis, Jody and King Ball, Ken and Mimi Wheeler, Paul Erwin, Gene Kelly, Nonie and Summy Arneson, Sue and Bert Rodman, Herb Gramstortf, Paula and John Gallup, Lou and Pat Clarke, Peter New, Dave and Kay Strasenburgh, John and Nancy Stockwell, Lew and Dolores Geer, Brud and Jane Becker, John and Joan Sweetland, Nomi and Bill Ballard, Ann and Tom Swartz, Lois and Mike McGean, Nell Abrahamson, and Dud and Betsy Bursch.
