While you're sitting around trying to figure out what to give the wife for Christmas, take five to scan the latest news of your old Injun cronies. Right off, before noting matrimonial and other activities, we want to state for the benefit of those who categorically throw away our letters, that Tom O'Connell has been elected Class Chairman by your Executive Committee. This means, in effect, that the Secretary will devote his time to matters of recording data for posterity, banging out these columns, and other minor functions, while Tom will direct the overall actions of the Class, appoint persons to fill various posts with the approval of the Execs, and generally see to it that things go smoothly.
Already he has come up with two fine selections to fill the gap left by the retirements of Glen Fitkin and Cul Modisette after five years of outstanding service as Class Agent and Newsletter Editor. Ted Bamberger has bravely "volunteered" to solicit your shekels starting next spring, and you can start by offering your services to him as Assistant Class Agents at 3589 Gridley Road, Cleveland 22. If you aren't quite that anxious to devote many hours of pleasant contact with classmates, maybe you can relate the details of your recent '50 blast to George Duffy at 4216 Lynn Ave., Minneapolis 16. We'll try to limit this column to matters of record and leave Duke the task of publicizing social activities and the Alumni Fund. We're sure you join us in a feeling of thanks to these guys for their work.
