Old Daddy-O Searched high and low To get his cohorts some news.

But when he was done, The info was none, So he faked it by putting in a pitch for the Alumni Fund, Dinners, and Dues.

All of which may not stir great hordes of injuns to postcard writing but at least takes-up some more space in what will develop into a rather short report, sport. Schlump season — 't was ever thus!

Dave Hitchcock sent a pretty wild photo of himself all decked out in open-toed sandals, kimona, and paper parasol for a part in the Fukuoka, Japan, annual benefit. Dave was the only "ferrener" who made the grade in the kabuki play put on to raise funds for the Red Cross. He also sent along a shot of himself in civvies looking more like the USIS rep he really is. Good to see you, Dave, if only on a snapshot.

Another government guy is Don Cummings who has a special assignment in New York City. Home address: 10 Newkirk Road, Somerset, N.J.

During a recent trip to Hartford we barged in on Wade Abbott, prexy of his own ball bearing and metal shapes manufacturing firm. Big D Doings in the Insurance City coming up included the spring concert of the gleeful club, and Wade had the delightful task of finding sacks for 65 stalwarts. Some fun!

Bill and Helen Hawkins should be unpacking their china in a new home in Tustin by now. Christmas greetings said after April their address would be 1893 Skyline Drive, Santa Ana. Disneyland visitors take note.

The headline confused us. Was Feather "cash on delivery," or did they mean he was in charge of that famous New England fish? It read, "Cohasset Man Made COD Director." Still don't know what it stands for, but COD is the Democratic reform organization and Dan Featherston has been elected a director. Our lawyer-classmate has been serving as area co-ordinator for the group on the South Shore outside of Boston. Any wise remarks had best be reserved for the future when we can see their success in taking control of the Massachusetts state committee.

Wes Field joined the Meadow Brook (L.I.) National Bank as assistant cashier in the credit and loan administration department. Wes had been with Chase Manhattan and got additional schooling at N. Y. U. and St. John's after Tuck.

Jack and Jill went over the hill. Not AWOL. Just moved to Cos Cob, Conn. They would be the Jack Harneds, late of New York and still partner in Glore, Forgan & Co. at 45 Wall Street.

Bill Stowell has just about as long a run to the concrete jungle, maybe more. He commutes from Somers, N.Y., to his post as sales manager for J.W. Landenberger & Co. ... On the other coast, Charlie Peskin is a sales rep for Aileen, Inc.... Probably two minutes from work is Bob O'Hara whose latest address is care of Lovitt Mining Co., Wenatchee, Wash.

Larry Starlight is an assistant prof in eccy at Bloomsburg (Pa.) State College. Wonder if he plays Robin Hood on the weekends with that home locale of 205 Nottingham Lane, Sherwood Village, Bloomsburg. What ho, Friar Tuck and Will Scarlet. Let's poach some game!

Told you we'd sponsor a few Big Green affairs. You've all had your chance in New York last month as well as Chi. And Alumni Fund workers all over have gathered to bolster their enthusiasm for the 1963 campaign. Swede Swenson has his bush-beaters bent on breaking all sorts of records. You could help by sending your contributions soon!

With sorrow we close the column noting that Rev. Joseph L. Sullivan died February 6, 1963, in South Paris, Me. Our sympathies have gone to his widow, the former Doris Melcher Silley, and their four children who may find some comfort in the message of Easter. Joe's career of service to his parishioners is summarized elsewhere under In Memoriam.
