Bill Cheever, who has been employed by the City of Providence at one of the hospitals for over 15 years, has now retired and is taking it easy. But knowing Bill as we do, having been together in high school and rooming with him for three years, it will not be long before he has another position and is doing his daily stint Chan Cox has retired as Trustee of Wheaton College after thirty years of helpful service, and has been elected Trustee Emeritus One of the pleasant features of the Reunion last June was an informal gathering at the Hunters Friday night, when Ted and Peggy Hunter showed their colored pictures of beautiful flowers and gardens, taken by them on a recent trip through the Southland.

Answering the roll call were the old regulars: Bill Cheever, Chan Cox, Ned Calderwood, Waldo Davis, Johnnie Ward, Deacon Hildreth and George French.... Congratulations will be extended to Harry and Grace Gilmore, who on October 23 will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
At the class meeting held Saturday morning, June 9, it was voted to hold informal reunions every year. We are now making some plans for 1957.
Ralph Bennett proved to be the surprise reunioner last June. The day before we left home for Hanover a letter was received asking for the dates of our reunion. We wired back at once and Saturday afternoon he walked into the Inn having flown in from California. It was his first time back to Hanover in 58 years but it was surprising to note how readily he recognized members of the class, and could recall incidents and events in connection with each one. He was only with us sophomore year, then left to seek employment. A few years later he entered Yale University and was graduated in 1906 with Phi Beta Kappa rank, followed by degrees from the Yale Law School. He has been a lecturer of law at several universities and at present is interested in the motion picture industry, and lives in Altadena, California. He writes he was happy to be with us and we trust he will come again.
