The members of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Oregon together with undergraduates home for the Christmas holidays and their fathers were invited to a luncheon at Peyton Hawes' home on Saturday. December 29. Peyton is of the Class of 1923 and has always been ready to extend his hospitality for Dartmouth functions. Those who attended experienced a very pleasant time and a super luncheon of prime beef.

The undergraduates were Cordon Evans, Peter Nieman. and Christie McLcllan and we were happy to also welcome the fathers of each of these boys. The alumni were Peyton Hawes, Blake Hering, Sam Martin, Dud Sercombe, Jack Patrick, Paul Han lon. Harold Hirsch, Frank Youngman, Paul Woelfel, John Ross. Our president, Blake Hering '53, extended the official welcome to everyone.

Sam Martin '27 told us of improved interest among local high school boys in enrollment at Dartmouth College. We credit considerable of this to the visit by the Glee Club last spring.

Our next major assembly will be a dinner meeting on Monday, April 8, when Dean of the Faculty, Arthur Jensen, will visit Portland. We are all looking forward to this occasion.
