If ever the day came at the end of February to write about April, it arrived here today. Soft rain, mild weather, neighborhood alive with strolling neighbors and a sort of general restless feeling by all. Seems like Dame Nature is looking after those birds we've been feeding and ran out of feed temporarily. There'll be snow again between now and April, when you read this, but it's nice to have a warm day or two in the middle of the winter. It gives you hope and faith in that eternal greenness that'll be here soon in the Northern Climes.
Well, the mail bag was mighty sparse this month and the clipping service must have taken a holiday. Jim Punderson, we see, is running for the school board in Springfield, Mass. He's vice president and ass't treasurer of the Punderson Coal and Oil Co. and a member of a number of organizations as long as your arm. (With his permission we won't list them all.) Looks like a likely candidate, though, and we urge you in that area to do what you can for him.
