I know that all classmates join me in giving Phil Thompson a big vote, of thanks for taking over while I was incapacitated. Glad to report I am feeling fine after a summer in New Hampshire.

Saw Karl and Gertrude Brackett who live in Campton, N. H. They had a grandson graduate from the College last June. He was manager of the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge his senior year. Another grandson enters Dartmouth this fall. Also saw "Wattie," Jennie and Phil Thompson. The Dudleys celebrated their 35th year of operating Camp Interlaken for Girls. Sorry I could not be with them. Clippings from the N. Y. Times and a Worcester paper were received too late for the June issue.

Ken Morse's son, Richard S. Morse, president of the National Research Corporation of Cambridge, Mass., was appointed chairman of the Army Scientific Advisory Panel. I wrote Ken a letter of congratulation. Received a reply telling that their son graduated from M.I.T. in 1933, is married, has two sons. A daughter, graduate of Wheaton college, is the mother of two girls. Ken says he and his wife are very proud of their grandchildren, especially the older ones who have outstanding records in high school. Ken is semi retired with the title General Agent Emeritus of the New England Mutual Life Insurance Co.

Clara and Leslie Farr spent most of the summer at Waterford, Vt. Clara suffered a broken leg earlier this year. In August she advised she was getting around with a cane and is better each day. George Elderkin summered with his wife and daughter at their home in Maine. Sorry to report that his wife is not making too satisfactory recovery from the stroke she had last fall. "Fitz" motored through New England in July. He drove alone over 700 miles, visited a nephew in Augusta, stopped at Exeter to see a ninety-year-old cousin, a retired professor at the academy.

Hermon Farwell heard from one of "Shorty" Sanborn's sons that Shorty's widow, Bernice, died last April 29, in New London, N. H. "Soap" Davis writes Ada had a stroke last May but has made a wonderful recovery and is still on the mend. He says it is too early to plan for our 60th. They have the prayers and best wishes of the class. HaroldPlumer says he had to stick on the job, while Ethel motored with their son George, who is in the hotel business, to Los Angeles for a two-week visit with their daughter Mary. Then on to the Jackson Lake Lodge in Moran, Wyoming. The Estabrooks are at their lovely home in Duxbury. No need for them to go away summer or winter. Etheland "Louis" Dow were at their summer home on the Cape.

"Duckie" Drake had a wonderful trip through Africa last spring and at my request wrote a fine description of it. A copy will be mailed to all by Jim Fisher, who is directing the class newsletter program in Hanover.
