Secretary, Morgan, Lewis and Bockius 2107 Fidelity-Philadelphia Trust Bldg. Philadelphia 9, Pa.

Our second special last-Monday-of-the-month luncheon was held upstairs at the Dartmouth-Princeton Club on October 27 with 34 alumni present. Were you there? Sherry Baketel '20, Philadelphia area chairman, reported on the progress of the College's Capital Fund Campaign. Stew Steffey '41 brought the word from Hanover on football while Tom Bryant '18 gave an eye-witness report on the unfortunate Harvard game. This is being written on the evening of our victory over Yale, so things look brighter now. If we can only trounce Cornell ... and Princeton.

The third luncheon of this special series promises an excellent program. By the time you read this, Monday, November 24 will be history. I certainly hope you were on hand. As of the time of writing, we expect to have Budd Schulberg '36 with us. His play, "The Disenchanted," was on stage at the Walnut the last two weeks of November. We also expect to have one of the football coaches and the "Football Highlights" film for the first half of the season.

Whether you made any or all of the first three last Monday-of-the-month special luncheons, if you're in downtown Philadelphia during the day, can we count on you for our annual "Dutch Treat" luncheon for undergraduates and their dads? It's slated for the last Monday of December, the 29th, probably at the Dartmouth-Princeton Club, Locust and Camac Streets in downtown Philadelphia. If you have paid dues for 1958 or recently moved into the area, you will receive more details by mail. If not, call the Secretary during business hours at KI 5-0456. We had an excellent turnout last year for the Sateve-post's Pete Martin, a '51 father. Let's do even better this year!

If you've recently moved into the Philadelphia area, you can sign up as a dues-paying member through our Annual Dinner athalf the usual rate. You'll be getting abargain, since an expected phase of the College's Capital Fund Drive here in the firstthree months of 1959 will probably postponeour Annual Dinner until April. If youhaven't already been contacted, write or telephone the Secretary at the above address.Don't miss out on the fun and fellowship ofDartmouth in Philadelphia.
