Dartmouth's second home game of the season was played before a capacity crowd at Memorial Field on a perfect fall afternoon, but the favored Indians were unable to mount an effective attack, missed several scoring opportunities and had to settle for a scoreless tie.

A Dartmouth thrust late in the second period brought the Indians to the Bruin 9-yard line, but Seth Moger's pass to end Connie Persels was intercepted by Brown quarterback Nick Pannes in the end zone. In the third period the Indians had the ball on the Bruin 2-yard line, but Pannes intercepted a pass intended for Jake Crouthamel to end this threat.

In the fourth frame the Bruins came to life, driving to the Dartmouth 10-yard line. Here, on a fourth-down-six situation, center Ken DeHaven leaped high to block an attempted field goal and the Bruin hopes were dashed. Except for this penetration, Brown never got beyond the Dartmouth 47-yard line, but their defense was just too much for the Big Green and the moral victory, at least, went to the underdog Brown team.
