Dartmouth College this summer received from the executor of the estate of the late Laura Lake, widow bf George E. Lake '96, the sum of $36,670, representing the bulk of Mrs. Lake's residual estate. This unrestricted bequest is a generous and heart-warming remembrance of the College, and is all the more noteworthy because George was a preacher in small churches and had small chance to accumulate worldly goods. George, who was a missionary in Hawaii for some years and later was connected with Pomona College, died July 18, 1958. His wife Laura died June 9, 1959.
Mrs. Isaac J. Cox died at a nursing home in San Antonio, Texas, on August 4. She had been in ill health since Ike's death on October 31, 1956. Mrs. Cox, who was Ruth Nina Perrin, was married on July si, 1909 to William Conry, who died in 1942. On February 14, 1952 she was married to Ike and had cared for him wonderfully during his long illness.
