We were pleased to find '37 so well represented at a meeting the other night of the Dartmouth Club of Western Connecticut. Seven of us showed up, several of us with sons in tow, to hear Eddie Chamberlain '36 discuss some phases of the admissions problem. Those on hand included Dave Camerer, Bill Timbers, Jerry Golenbock, Mort Karp, Charley Blaisdell, Bob Turner and your secretary. Speaking of Dave Camerer, we wonder how many of you have spotted the picture of Dave appearing in many national magazines as well as newspapers, aboard the S.S. United States? We didn't pick up much in the way of news, except from Jerry Golenbock who lives in Stamford, and has a law practice in New York City. Jerry, we understand, has just recently been re-elected president of the New York State Association of Plaintiffs Trial Lawyers, an organization embracing some 2,000 trial lawyers in the New York area. He has lectured frequently throughout the country, most recently at Indiana Law School, on methods of trying various kinds of law suits.

We have a fine letter from Bill Rotch, part of which reads like this:

Patty and I attended the Medical Convocation. We didn't understand all the big words, but it was stimulating and a lot of fun. Those new dormitories - the one we stayed in was Cohen - are not like anything we knew. Saw a few classmates; Drs. Ken Stearns, John Milne, Mike Wright. Saw Russ Stearns briefly, visited Harry Schultz and his family. To be an English professor with a house on Rope Ferry Road - that is something. Mike Wright has a son in '64. I believe my son Pete (brand new pledge of Phi Kappa Psi) ran into Bill Heroy's son. Let's put on a breakfast or something for '37 sons, maybe at the Class Officers' meeting in May.

By the way, Bill and Patty spent a weekend in New York early in October, alongwith Willcox and Natale Brown, when theyattended a "community leaders'" briefing onUnited Nations matters at the World AffairsCenter. Will, in his spare time, has becomeincreasingly active in politics, and was recently elected Democratic Chairman forMerrimac County in New Hampshire. Wesuppose he must see Tom Mclntyre at Democratic events in the Granite State.

We were pleased to receive an announcement of the September wedding of Dorothy Lee Price to R. Dudley Meredith Jr., in Florence, Ala. They are living in Sheffield, Ala., where Dud is chief cost accountant at the Alloys plant of Reynolds Metals Company.

Al Reinman has just been honored by his election to the post of president of the Ohio Association of Real Estate Boards. Not too long ago, Al served in the same capacity for the Youngstown Real Estate Board, as well as chairman of the National Institute of Real Estate Brokers. Somewhere in here Al gets time to devote to his own very successful agency in Youngstown, Ohio.

Dr. Mike Petti was recently appointed assistant clinical professor of medicine at Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Mike has been doing some teaching at the university for some time, as well as conducting his own private practice.

We have word of several changes in business affiliation. Don Dumont has joined Dow and Condon Inc. in Hartford, Conn., as a salesman specializing in sales and leases of commercial and industrial properties. DougCochran has deserted Washington, D. C. (and the American Automobile Association) and has moved to Temple, Texas. Doug has just been appointed editorial director of Tourist Court Journal, a magazine devoted to the interests of the motel industry. John Greenleaf has formed a partnership with another optometrist in Dunkirk, N. Y., where John has maintained his office since 1949.

And finally, in a round about way, we have word from Pat Uhlmann which reads as follows:

"Last June in Leavenworth, Tom Reck, Dana Prescott and I got together, the occasion being a horse show in which Tom and I and Dana's children were entrants in the jumping events. Dana is at Leavenworth for another year or so, anyway. We had a wonderful time being together as you can imagine."
