A victory-starved Dartmouth varsity wrestling team took a fourth straight defeat at the hands of Springfield, 27-3, then downed Albany Teachers, Tufts and the University of Massachusetts for three straight triumphs. Albany Teachers was the first victim by a 29-3 count. The Green matmen took seven of eight matches. Eli Torbert won his bout by a 13-4 scoring. Ron Heineman pinned his opponent after only 2:31 had elapsed in the first period and Jay Crane was victorious pinning his man after 20 seconds in the second period.
Sophomore Kent Morton amazed all spectators in the 29-5 Dartmouth victory over the University of Massachusetts by taking on a man 65 pounds heavier than himself and pinning him in little more than a miriute after the second threeminute period had begun. Torbert, Heineman, Hop Holmberg and AlWeinberg all gained points for the Indians as the Tufts matmen fell, 18-14, in a closely contested Alumni Gymnasium match.
