Outclassing its opponents in all but three matches the Dartmouth varsity squash team defeated McGill, 7-2. The Indians' top man for the match, Jack Herrick, lost to Canadian National Junior Champion Ross Adair, but Captain Marty Zipser, number two Dartmouth man, bested his Canadian opponent in straight games.

The score was the same against Yale, but the Elis were the victors, as their strength was just too much for the Indians. Hoby Millington arid Ron Picket were Dartmouth winners. Millington's match with Denny Phipps of Yale was the longest of the day, a match extended to five games, all closely contested. Zipser, Millington, Picket and Albie Stark were Dartmouth winners in a 5-4 loss to Amherst which Coach Hed Hoehn considered a moral victory for Dartmouth. On the basis of comparative scores against Army, the Lord Jeffs had been rated top-heavy favorites.

The very next day the Big Green team swamped a much weaker Wesleyan team, 10-0. Zipser, playing No. 1, trounced his opponent to start the one-sided victory in motion.
