The Enfield Advocate of Canaan, N. H., announced that Dr. Arthur W. Burnham of Lebanon, N. H., has been chosen to head the Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital Building Fund Campaign as its General Chairman. Francis A. Sargent, President of the hospital's Board of Trustees, in announcing the appointment said, "The community is extremely fortunate to have a man of the knowledge, genuine interest, and love of the hospital as Dr. Burnham to unite us all in this unprecedented movement for a new hospital."
We regret to advise of the loss of two more classmates in the passing of LathropB. ("Pat") Lovell in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Oct. 3 and the death of Arthur E. ("Art") French in Holyoke, Mass., on Oct. 20. The heartfelt sympathy of Pat and Art's friends and classmates in Dartmouth is extended to their wives and families in their sudden loss.

LymanArmes, Edward B. Luitweiler, Henry B. VanDyne, Mark E. Allen, Harold T. Baker,Gardner P. Bullard, Randall G. Burns, Nelson L. Doe, Conrad E. Snow, and Arthur W.Burnham.
Bill Emerson '34 and Robert Levine '40, Prof, of Chemistry, have felt that the memory of the late Prof. Elden B. Hartshorn should be perpetuated and have therefore established the Elden B. Hartshorn Medal which will be awarded each year to the most promising senior chemistry major who has decided to go to graduate school and pursue a career in chemistry. Contributions from our chemistry alumni would be appreciated and checks should be made out to the E. B. Hartshorn Memorial Fund.
The Dartmouth-Brown game was quite a wet affair but in spite of the weather the following classmates attended the Art Burnham and Roy Lewis buffet supper that evening in Lebanon: the Eddie Luitweilers, theConnie Snows, Ben Adams, Lyme Armes,Randy Burns and Dutch Cottrells.
Elwyn L. Xaber reported to the Mary Hitchcock Hospital Oct. 23 for a repair job operation. Sheila Taber is staying with son, Don Taber '41, and his family in Lebanon until Tabe has recuperated sufficiently to go to St. Augustine, Fla., for the winter.
Pike Childs put on a swell regional gettogether at the Manchester Country Club this October and according to reports 27 representatives of our class were there.
Edith and Dutch Waterbury were in New York City the week of Oct. 16 to attend the convention of the American Society of Civil Engineers at the Statler Hilton. Bess and I went in Friday of that week to spend the day with them at the United Nations, Radio City Music Hall and Stouffers sth Ave. They are both in excellent health and planning on another big cruise this winter just to keep in trim.
