Leon Rothschild '24 missed Dartmouth Night. Harry Lill '05 and Gerry Barnes '11 were there. Dan Dinsmoor '16 entertained at the piano and Bob Williams '26 led the Justy singing. John Lyman '28 gave an excellent account of the progress of his Scholarship Fund (supposedly sustained by the membership but in need of active adherents). Leon took his wife to a play. BillKeyes '29 told me a new story, but unfortunately this organ will not replay it. BillEldridge '34 and Ken Lieber '36 both wore gray suits, but Lieber's was cashmere. Jazzy. Leon and Bess went to see "Gypsy" in its first Los Angeles showing. Furb Haight '21,Dick Hefler '36, and Jack Rourke '40 really helped us make our guarantee at the old mahogany plank.

The Club celebrated the evening in the new Hanoverian Room of The Cove and President Dick Milliken '50 did an outstanding job as Master of Ceremonies. He had returned from his Hawaiian Honeymoon the previous day and never at want for words, gave us a splendid account of a tourist's view of the 49th state. He said he saw the volcanic eruption, sugar cane fields, Pearl Harbor, two luaus, Diamond Head, Waikiki Beach and the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Believe the latter. Leon said it was a good show. A lot of the new generation put in an appearance including Mike Gazzaniga '61, Phil Oehler '61, Larry Blades'55, Perry Weston '54, Ed Novascone '54,Old Man DesCombes '54, Wes Nutten '51 and lots more. The assemblage unanimously elected the same set of officers for the ensuing year and inasmuch as they have had their names printed once, reiteration would prove dull. Attend regular luncheons, await Christmas party, send in your dues and support the Scholarship Fund. Later.
