The time of year is approaching for special gatherings of Dartmouth physicians. At least two luncheons appear to be in the offing at this time: one in Hanover at the time of June reunions and one in Chicago later in that month at the AMA Convention Watch for specific announcements and plan to attend.

With Strasenburgh Hall scheduled to be opened in January 1963, perhaps a report on the memorial fund for Doctor Sy is in order. To date the gifts have reached a total of approximately $15,000. If you have not already carried out your good intentions, you can still do so.

Jack Bowler M'17, now retired from active practice, has announced his candidacy for the Governor's Council. Tom HuffmanM'50 can now be found at his new office in Cleveland doing internal medicine. Jim Cavanagh M'52 finished his surgical residency at the Hitchcock and has located in Portsmouth, N. H. Pete Dallman M'52 is now associated with the Stanford University Medical Center. Tyke Miller M'52 has returned from Nepal and is engaged in surgery in Wilmington, Del. Jim Thorpen M'52 now graces Casper, Wyoming, after completing his Boards in Pathology. And ErichWisiol M'52 is rumored to be practicing neurosurgery in Minneapolis.

Phil Parshley M'54 is serving in the Air Force stationed at McConnell AFB in Wichita, Kansas. Phil recently visited Tom Clark M's4 in Utica, N. Y., where Tom has joined a group as the pediatrician. Burt Onofrio M'ss enthusiastically reports the arrival of a son, Scott John, in February. Winchester, Mass., is preparing a July welcome for EdHaley M'56 upon his arrival from an Anesthesiology residency in Rochester, N. Y. Howie Green M'57 writes a most interesting letter describing the joys of deep sea diving and submarine medicine between trips home to Mystic, Conn., where his wife puts in her waiting with Carrie Alice, 4, and brand new Howard B. Green II.

Obviously The Old Homestead in New York is a favorite spot for the M'59 group. Another signed card from there tells us that Frankie Hoefle M'59 is going to New York Eye and Ear in Ophthalmology; J. C. ParkesM'59 to New York Orthopaedics; and BillYahr M'59 to Montefiore in Surgery. The local and Boston papers recently carried the announcement of the engagement of RalphMiller. M'59 to Pamela Gundersen, daughter of "Dr. and Mrs. Sven Gundersen of Hanover.
