He and Helen have been in Chicago for October and November as resident research fellow at the Newberry Library, working in the John M. Wing collection of printing. For years George has been collecting material on a late 18th century French printer, friend of "Dr." Franklin, by the name of Pierres. The Wing Collection has lots of manuscript material.

Fred Page and Harry French in October tried the bird hunting before the woodland ban, with fair success. Both hope for rain before the spring for many in New Hampshire, even some with Artesian wells are without water this fall.
