All you guys who didn't send me a Christmas card are creeps. Here all us military types are defending your country and lonely, and cold and unloved and everything and you didn't even send your lovable old secretary a Christmas card, thanks a lot. I am putting out the ungarbled word for all to hear: I want you yo-yo's to send me an taster card with the current dope on yourselves and anybody else you know about without fail. The only ones exempt are those who have written in the last six months or so. You can have a low opinion of yourselves if you want, but some of your buddies from the old Green want to find out what YOU are doing and it's my job to pass it along, but obviously I can't if I don't get the news, otherwise I'll have to make up stories again and that is a tremendous drain on my time and your good taste, so let's get hot. You can stand easy now, I won't yell anymore.

The following men mentioned are Good Guys because they-sent me Christmas cards: Tanzi, J. D. Salinger, Norman Rockwell, Henny Youngman,. Judy Canova, Kukla, Fran and Hickey, Vaughn Maeder, Hugh Hefner, and J. Paul Getty. Also Terry Rogers, Harris and Mary McKee, WorkshopRichards, John Damon and Scott Piper. And they sent on some scoop about the rest of the gang. Scott is learning to be a doctor at Miami and has engaged himself to Miss Gillette Dauphinot and, as he says, "Plans a patriotic July 4 wedding." Maybe Scott will be the first of the flying physicians. Also Scott would like to get his Eccy notes back from Max Ramenofsky, so Max, write Scott at 1019 Malaga, Coral Gables.

John Damon hit the continent for 66 days last summer in a VW bus with his brother and Jim Gilchrist and is now at OCS. John says that he has seen both Bill Flanigan and Rusty Cook as well as a host of 62's (unworthy of mention) at Newport. Crazy JimRichards is living it up (and down) at Aspen, specifically the Coachlight Chalet. Shop extends a cordial invitation to any of the boys to drop in for some free lessons. Our leader. Harris McKee, seems to be making the most of his last year at Thayer. He reports that Frank Budetti, John Schlachtenhaufen, Frank Crouse, Ed Pearson and Jim Allison are still enjoying the joys of Hanover winters and higher education.

Larry Holden and I got fed up with Norfolk one weekend and motored up to Baltimore to see Hop and Judy Holmberg, who proved to be most gracious hosts. Ken and Mary Quickel are living right above the Holmbergs while Ken plays around with medicine. Dave Osterhout came down from his "law studies in Philadelphia and joined us in the revelry. A fine time. Ted and MaryPerkins were home in Minneapolis during the holidays and were lookin' good. Ted is just about to get his Marine pilot's wings and will probably be flying helicopters in California or Viet Nam next year.

I talked to Dave and Susie Blake on the phone and Dave is working for Smith, Kline and French Labs in Philly and playing soccer on weekends. Blaker will probably be playing soccer while everybody else is going to the moon, such dedication!

" Got a few bits from the Ball and Chain Club. Miss Anne-Marie Eyraud of Gap, France, was married to Phil Spitzer on December 1. Phil graduated from Hofstra after leaving Dartmouth and received his Master's in Education from NYU and is now studying at the Sorbonne. A very distinguished young man. Miss Linda Twombly and Don Baker are engaged to be married this June. Don is with the United States Public Health Service in New York City.

Dave Prewitt is learning to become an Army Pilot (shudder) having just finished a 16-week course in Texas. Chuck Ritchie is still at the Language School in Monterey, but told me he hopes to be stationed at some Army base around Baltimore in February.

Bud Schoening married Miss Jane Balfany in Edina, Minn., over the holidays. Schoens is working in real estate. Bob and Effie Naegle are reported to be putting up Naegle Company billboards in Detroit (I think) and planning to open .up the Naegle-Hilton.

I can't think of any more stories so we'll wind up another fun-filled column. Please don't forget about those Easter cards now, I really need to hear from you men before I can write anything of interest. By the way, any of you who have been to Europe send along a list of hot-spots to me as I am going over this summer to drive around in a VW Camper and pass out saltines or something. Cheers.

Barry Alperin '62 is a second-year Tuck student. He and his bride Mimi, nowveterans of Sachem Village, are shown back in June when there was a wedding.
