"Cheer-root-swig-yell-swig-scream-swig-rouse-swigswig-moan-swig-munchahotdog-swig-burp-swig." That, gentlemen, is a transcript of a recording made on the scene at the Harvard game. I could tell you who this interesting recording was made of, you'd all know him as one of our most illustrious fellows. He was in fine form at Cambridge as were the following, all of whom showed up in various states of marital attachment, et al.: Andy Cohen, Bob Tunnell, Dave Robinson, Ellis Adler, Hank Gerfen, Al Loeb, Bill Horton, Jack McCarthy, and that spirited rooter, Ray Welch and his wife Sally. The game at Yale was no less resplendent in feature players; Charlie Chapman, Don and Debby O'Neill, Jim Nova, Jim Watson, and Terry and Joy Rogers. I got a call from Cartter Frierson shortly before the game, but we didn't run into each other over at the big beer keg indicating that either he didn't make it or I was stuck in the bottom of the keg and didn't see him (or anybody). There were probably lots more there, but you know how it is at those darn football games, crowded and all.

Got the usual slug of wedding notes and all like that. Seems that John Adams and the former Miss Jo Ann Gallegos were wed last September in Pasadena. They are now living in that famous California town. Del Lucas and Miss Elaine Van Emburgh were married October 3 in Paterson, N. J. Del is sports administrator of the AAU in New York. An engagement was in the offing as well - Miss Ellen Weber and Mo Banks are planning to wed this month.

Got a couple of dandy letters. Dave Skuce reports that he has (at long last) convinced Uncle Sam and his military magic show that they can do without his services. Dave tried to see Jack Babson and Steve Dale on his way home, but Black Jack was scaling Mount Washington and Steveo is still sitting on his destroyer off Viet Nam. Dave and wife Betsy are going to be stockbrokers in San Francisco now that they are off the government dole. Bare and Pris Corbus are encamped nearby. Bill Bull is on the brink of getting his degree from San Jose State and has firmly decided to give up his childhood hope of becoming the King of the Euclid Drivers. The second letter was from Jack Kinderdine (whose long, long punts would have helped in the Yale game - should'a suited up, Beaver!). Jack and wife Sue (since August 29) are living in Dayton, Ohio, where Jack is working for Delco Marine in that city. The word is that Ken andSarah DeHaven were at the Kinderdines' wedding and are both in the very peak of good health.

That will do it for yet another month and that leaves only eighteen more shopping months until the BIG FIFTH REUNION, when you will all be giving me exciting and expensive presents. Here is a list of things I would particularly like (P.S. you can send them early if you want - even C.O.D.): (1) A copy of Dutton Foster's newest novel "Conscience of a Constipation," (2) Two or three of those Girl Scout cookies with the creamy pink stuff inside that all the big kids used to swipe before I could eat 'em. (3) A Xerox copy of a crew shell - and they say those machines can copy anything — ha! (4) A ticket to King Farouk's new movie, "I Can Get It for You Wholesale." (5) A "Win with Willkie" campaign button - I've heard they may be used again in '68. And finally a box of the new product - Instant Johnstown Flood - just add 9,586,960,000 gallons of water and stare. Send me news, men.
