MARCH 1963 HARRY B. JOHNSON, THOMAS W. STREETER, Cheerio.

These notes are being written January 27, a lovely day in Florida — 78 degrees — no snow.

Old man Johnson celebrated his 81st birthday, January 14. Sally gave him a cocktail party. We had a house full of guests and a good time was had by all. Squid didn't forget to send him a birthday card and Robbie called him on the telephone from South Dartmouth, Mass., to give his birthday greetings to Beck - How greatly I appreciated it! So many cards came, the mailman said "Somebody must be having a birthday." He was right. Thanks to all you, dear Classmates, and girls too.

Harry B. Gilmore '34, son of Harry Gilmore '01, sent me a letter recently from Manchester, N.H. At our 55th Roll Call, your secretary invited Harry Jr. to attend our ceremony at the tomb of Eleazar Wheelock and suggested 1934 take over the traditional Roll Call of 1904 when the Class could no longer do justice to the ceremony. Harry mentioned that invitation in his letter. We may have to turn it over to 1934 in 1964, so bring on your Indians, Harry, join us at Midnight by the Dartmouth clock and carry on for 1904.

Two letters from Santa Monica, Calif., from Jerry Hatch and Eddie MacLennan. Eddie and bride live at 438 E. Rustic Road and Jerry is most comfortably housed and cared for in a lovely nursing home at 851 4th St., Santa Monica. These two lads would love to hear from you. Send them a snow ball.

Bessie Bowles has been confined to a wheelchair in the Springfield, Vt., Hospital. Her home is in Charlestown, N. H. All join in best wishes for your complete recovery, Bessie, dear. She wrote a very newsy letter.

Charlie Tubbs and Sunny, of 982 High Street, Bath, Me., are having a tough winter — auto full of sand and shovels. He asks correct address of Dr. David Ford. The doctor and Mildred live at Riverview Manor, Washington, N. C., not D. C. They are comfortably housed and well provided for in a nursing home there. Dave tries to write his letters on a typewriter, being nearly blind—'Mildred does the corrections. Wonderful to hear from you two dear people.

That man Major Sharpe sent a note — always get a kick out of hearing from you, old timer; he lives at 853 North Citrus Avenue, Covina, Calif. Vero Beach is the winter home of the Dodgers. The Major says "send them back home to Los Angeles." Hope they have better luck next year, Major!

A good note came from Mrs. Florence Woodward. Her new address is 3549 N.E. 95th Street, Seattle 15, Wash. Nice to hear from you, Florence. She had been visiting her son in California, but mighty glad to get back to Seattle. Grass is greener there. Her care of Guy through his long illness is a tribute to the devotion of our wives, God bless them all.

When you fellows get your birthday greetings from Squid Lampee, 9 Foxcroft Road, Winchester, Mass., sit down and thank him. Sorry to say he is not too well. Let all of us back him up when we get his appeal for the Alumni Fund. He has been doing this job for us for 23 years.

Mrs. Sid Rollins writes she has deeded her lovely home in Newport, N. H., to the Newport Library. Her father was the founder and benefactor of the Library. Louise will continue to live in a portion of the house. As a graduate of Kimball Union Academy, the Secretary is also aware of the fact that Louise's family too were the benefactors of the Academy which this year celebrates its 150 th Anniversary. ... KUA, KUA, Rah, Rah, Rah and a Wah Hoo Wah for Louise and her distinguished family of Newport, N. H. - not forgetting too, our beloved Sid.

The Johnsons had a lovely visit with the Websters who stopped in Vero Beach just after New Year's and are now spending the winter at 217 Urquhart Street, Lake Worth, Fla. We had hoped to have Ike Maynard with us over the weekend but Sally was down with the cold and a touch of angina — so he will come later. His new address is Prospect Inn, 204 South Ridgewood Avenue, Daytona Beach, Fla.

That's it for this time boys! and girls!

Write your Secretary.
