Greetings to all of you and best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hope to see you at our informal 58th reunion in June in Hanover.

The Berkeley Daily Gazette of Berkeley, Calif., September 7, 1964, on its front page carries a four-column story with photographs of our classmate George Hoyt as follows: "Hundreds Honor George Hoyt, Veteran Appraiser Lauded." The occasion was a surprise "This Is Your Life" testimonial breakfast for pioneer real estate appraiser George Hoyt who arrived in Berkeley on a dark windy evening in 1909, fresh out of college and looking for a job and educational advancement in economics. George and his wife, Harriette, arrived at the breakfast in appropriate style, in a horse and buggy. The head of the University of California Real Estate Extension Service presented George with a certificate of appreciation for his assistance to students both on campus and in the Extension Division. The president of the Berkeley Rotary Club presented him with a testimonial salute for 27 years of valuable service to the club. The past president of the Realty Board presented George with a 50-year plaque from the California Real Estate Association and then the president presented him with a scroll on behalf of all the members of the Realty Board in "appreciation of dedicated service for over 50 years." As a concluding gesture he was given a scrap book containing scores of letters of appreciation from associates and friends.

Giddap! Pioneer appraiser and realtor, George Hoyt and Harriette, congratulations from your classmates!
