A great time was had by all on October 9, 1964 as we celebrated our first annual Dartmouth Night in Philadelphia. A wonderful buffet dinner was served at the Poor Richard Club and we all listened with fond remembrances of our college days, to the Dartmouth Night broadcast direct from Hanover. Cards and pool, together with films of the 1963 Dartmouth-Princeton game, rounded off the evening.
On Monday, December 28, 1964, the Annual Dutch Treat Luncheon for undergraduates, dads, and alumni will be held at the Poor Richard Club. We are going to "celebrate" the coming of the 25th Anniversary of the famous Dartmouth-Cornell "5th Down" Football Game of 1940. In addition to the newsreel and film clips of the football game, our guest speakers will be "Reds" Friesell, the "5th Down" referee, LouYoung '41, the Dartmouth captain from the game, and, hopefully. Dr. Robert Matuzak, the Cornell captain. Everyone in the Philadelphia area should try to attend this affair as we are sure it will be most interesting.
