The DCAC has announced the inauguration of the Dartmouth Swimming Club, which is open to all residents of the Hanover area. A year's membership for the academic year ending August 31 is only $2.50. After only a few days over 100 membership cards had been given out. Both swimming pools are now being used and make additional hours for recreational swimming available.
Edwin (Ron) Knapp of Canton, Conn., has been elected captain of the 1964 soccer team. A forward this past season, he led the Indians in scoring for the second year. He is a graduate of Governor Dummer Academy.
Harry Lee Daneker of Cranston, R. I., the outstanding runner of this fall's cross country team, has been elected captain of the 1964 harrier squad. He was top man for the Green in every race. A 5-7, 131-pound junior, he is a government major.
Ice cores some 2,000 years old, bored from the arctic ice fields, are kept in CRREL'scold storage rooms until needed for a wide variety of research work.
