At a luncheon meeting held at the La Salle Hotel in June, Gaylord A. FreemanJr. '31 brought to a very successful conclusion one of the most successful years our Association has enjoyed in some time. Our hats are off to Gale and his officers for the fine job they did and our support is pledged to our new leaders headed by Charles L."Sykes" Hardy '27; vice presidents, Hugh K.Brower '50 and Norris E. Williamson '26; secretary, Albert E. "Skip" Grinton '54 and treasurer, Philip S. Fast '53. The elections were handled with the customary dispatch and following the business meeting members heard a fine talk given by Peter Kiewit '22, president of Peter Kiewit Sons Co. As most of you will recall, the new computation center has been named in honor of Mr. Kiewit for his support of the college.

The annual picnic was held August 18, at Ralph Johnson's '41 in Barrington. The arrangements were letter-perfect with one exception - the officers forgot to leave instructions with the weatherman. Despite the rain 92 men of green turned out to enjoy the steak, corn, suds and thoughts on Hanover provided by Herb West '22. The guests included Harold Dunbar '14, Cortland Horr'18 and twelve Chicago area pea green and their fathers.

We hope all Association members and potential Chicago visitors will take note of the change in location of our weekly luncheons. We now meet each Monday at noon at Stouffer's, 26 West Madison. Why not stop some week soon?

Sykes Hardy '27 has asked us to send out a plea for all members to send in their dues. The officers have a lot of activities in the works and it is hoped that all the alumni will lend their support. While you're at it why not become a sponsor and enjoy the activities free of charge?
