APRIL 1965 EDWARD B. REDMAN

Our class suffered a great loss in the death of Norman Russell, our treasurer for almost forty years. Norm was most conscientious in his work and we were always sure that there was money in the bank. He was also most faithful in attending the annual class officers meetings in Hanover. Your secretary received the following letter from the Russell family which I am sure you will all enjoy: "Mother and I both wish to thank you, our 1906 Secretary, and the Class of 1906 for the wonderful expression in flowers for Dad. Mother and I will keep a special part of our hearts for 1906 always. Sincerely, Bob."

As the class knows, President Powers has appointed Francis Childs to be our new treasurer and he is on the job at 14 Allen Street, Hanover, N. H.

Since his retirement Art Chapin has spent part of each year traveling to different parts of the United States by auto. Two years ago it was California and the West. Last year Catherine and Art were in the South and this year they plan to visit two of their daughters in St. Louis, Mo.

The 1965 Alumni Fund will be just getting under way by the time this issue reaches you. I hope everyone realizes that our quota has been increased in spite of the fact that we have lost nine classmates since last July. Please give the size of your gift your most serious consideration as 1906 must not fail in meeting its quota.

Six of our classmates celebrate another birthday in April. They are Chase, Joe Cushing, Howe, Russ, Watson Smith, and Twiss.
