Sam Fry has received a promotion in the State Dept. After serving in the Army, Sam entered the Foreign Service in 1961. He served at the U.S. Consulate General in Trieste. At that time, Sam wrote (Dec. '62), "Recently completed a study of communist mob tactics used during recent elections in Trieste. An interesting job here in this border and port city. I have traveled extensively in Northern Italy and Yugoslavia. My contribution to Trieste is mainly giving visas to the good guys and polite refusals to the bad ones." Sam speaks fluent Italian and French. His promotion is to class FSO-6. Sam is presently serving in Washington as an economist with the State Department's Office of Soviet Union Affairs. Gene White is in Lahore. West Pakistan. Gene served in the Peace Corps for two years and is now employed as water consultant to the Water and Power Development Authority of West Pakistan. Gene went on an expedition into the Hindu Kush mountains after the Peace Corps. He and Elizabeth and their son Eric spent last Christmas in Gilget, a small town on the edge of the Karakoram Mountains. Their address is c/o Tipton & Kalmbach, Box 731, Lahore.
Will Sogg has just been named co-chairman of the Cleveland Metropolitan Division of the Jewish Welfare Fund Appeal. Will is a partner in Gottfried, Ginsburg, Guren & Merritt, a Cleveland law firm. He and Sari are living in Shaker Heights. HarryBailey is giving a course in Greek Archaeology at N.Y.U. Harry is an instructor of fine arts at Washington Square College of N.Y.U. He studied Greek and Renaissance fine arts after Dartmouth. Harry's course includes "art, architecture and scripts of Minoan and Mycenean cultures and exploration by lecture and slides of the Great Bronze Age civilizations of Crete and Greece and their relations with Cyprus, Phoenicia, and Egypt." Walt Sell was married on March 6 to Lynette Anderson of Vernon Drive, Mt. Lebanon, Pa. Walt went to Gettysburg College after Dartmouth and is now employed by Sears, Roebuck. Lynette went to Allegheny College. They took a wedding trip to Williamsburg, Va., and are now living in Cumberland, Md.
Phil Coyle is with Lawrence Radiation Laboratory of the University of California in the Nevada Test Site Program. Phil is in charge of a Device Division Group responsible for the arming and firing of various weapons being tested including nuclear explosives. Phil and Dee are living in Walnut Creek; their family includes Laurie, Ted, and Jamie. Phil's job takes him back and forth between Livermore, Calif., and the Nevada Test Site. Dick DeVoto gave a speech to the Wyoming Geological Association on the California Water Plan. Dick is a geological engineer with Shell Oil Co. in Casper, Wyo. Dick and June and son Roy Alan are living at 863 S. Lincoln, Casper.
Terry and Penny Colby have two children and are living in Guilford, Conn. Terry has recently become associated with an attorney in a Madison, Conn., office. Terry is secretary of the Dartmouth Club of New Haven, a director of the Guilford Jaycees, and a director of the Guilford Scholarship Association. Em Houck has been named manager of industrial engineering methods and layout for Eli Lilly and Co. Em also serves as a member of the board of directors of the Children's Bureau of Indianapolis. Em and Jane have three children and are living at 2247 Pamela Drive. Cliff andJudy Allen have moved to Williamsville, N. Y. They have two children, Laurie Stewart and Clifford Bellows. Bill and Janet Hansen are in Ann Arbor, where Bill is resident physician at the University of Michigan Hospital. Ron andMartha Mullen and their two daughters have moved to 8515 Cottage St. in Vienna, Va. Ron is a sales representative for IBM in Arlington, Fred Lowry has been made a project director for the National Council of Churches in McComb, Miss. Jim Breeden was in Boston in connection with Martin Luther King's recent visit here. Jim was selected by the Boston Junior Chamber of Commerce as one of Boston's ten outstanding young men. Jim is now with the National Council of Churches in New York.

June 26 is the wedding date tor SteveSwenson and Sally Stafford in Laconia, N. H. I saw Steve and Sally in Boston last week. Sally is lining up a teaching position for next year and Steve will be continuing his studies in guidance counseling at Boston University. „ .
Bob Dunont, Russ Brace, and Ab Oakes got together in Hanover for class officers weekend in May. Bob says there will be class reunions this fall at the Harvard and Yale games and following the Princeton game.
There will be cocktails and dinner for the class at Damen's in Etna following the Penn game in Hanover, October 9. Our attention is now on the tenth reunion, June 17-19.
