Dick Rosen is a key man in the staff of New York's Mayor Lindsay. Dick went through Tuck School and then New York University Law School. In 1962 Dick began work as an administrative assistant to New York Attorney General Louis J. Lefkowitz and a year later was appointed as his executive assistant. Dick took part in each of Lindsay's political campaigns; and during the recent mayoral campaign, he was in charge of special projects and events. Dick's home town is South Fallsburg; the last few years he has been living in New York City; his new post brings him to Albany, where he is serving as legislative assistant for the mayor and managing the legislative office. Dick says he's been averaging about four hours of sleep a night. He and six aides have been preparing about seventy-five bills to present for action in the state legislature. An article about Dick in the New York World Telegram on Jan. 12 outlined Dick's responsibilities. Among these is reviewing all bills introduced to the state legislature; there had been two thousand as of Jan. 12. Dick has been working on a study of taxi problems, and he also represents the mayor on the Lincoln Center board of directors. Dick is still a bachelor. He says he takes in about forty plays a year and follows the opera closely. He was associate producer of an off-Broadway production of "U.S.A." by Dos Passos, which ran for more than a year and earned him a few royalties. Dick appears to be thoroughly enjoying life.
