Joe Losey is getting lots of publicity these days. His picture "The Servant" was tremendously popular. According to some reviews, however, "King and Country" is even a finer film. Now, Joe comes up with "Modesty Blaise" which is just hitting the picture houses.

It is with great sorrow that we report the accidental death of Bobby Blair, the 24-year-old only son of John Blair. We extend heartfelt condolences to the Blairs. Jack is establishing memorial scholarships at his school and college (Hotchkiss and Yale) and also plans to plant a pin oak on the lawn in front of Robinson Hall where Jack spent so many happy hours working for "The Dartmouth."
We heard from Woody Woodbridge that Charlie Dudley has been elected to the Presidency of Lebanon College. . . . We quote from correspondence from Jim Hodson to the aforementioned Woody Woodbridge and Gus Wiedenmayer that Jim is recovering from a serious heart ailment, and we all wish him a speedy recovery.

I have just read a copy of the remarks made by Bob Monahan to the Class of 1916 at its Fiftieth Anniversary dinner describing the John F. Gile Memorial Forest to his classmates. It is informative and delightful . . . John A. Danforth, son of Dick Danforth, was recently graduated from high school in Wilbraham. Hope he has chosen Dartmouth as his college because it looks as though he has a lot going for him.
The George D. Roper Company recently announced the election of Ralph C. Ashley as president. He succeeds Dick Burke who continues as chairman and chief executive officer.
Some time ago Ray Talbott sent a snapshot, which may prove of interest to former inmates of Wheeler. Ray quotes "If you get your magnifier and focus on the guy at center with hands on chest - that's me! And I believe you are right beside me looking at your right . .. next to me is Brad Ladd then Bill Keyes, at the very right is Si Snider, to my right you will see Bob Sprague,Bob Moxon and Frank Small.
