Phil Penberthy and his boys got off to a fast start this spring. If early returns are an indication, our Alumni Fund performance in '66 will topple all records. The key to the campaign has been the steady build-up of the Century Club, those giving $100 or more. The roster to date is tremendously impressive.
I had a nice chat with. Pinky Corroon the other day. He told how Ro and the kids just got back from ten days in Palm Beach. When I asked whether he had buzzed down for a few days, he allowed as how he just couldn't swing it; he'd just bought himself a new tie. He keeps in touch with Marty Shea and Needle Allen, both of whom are getting along fine. His running war with Buffy Hills about the abortive dinner party remains unresolved.
Bob Rader, who has been executive vice president of the D. H. Overmyer Leasing Co. since its beginnings in June of last year, has been promoted to the presidency of that New York City firm. Before joining the Overmyer organization, Bob was vice president of Eastern Industrial Leasing Co., Philadelphia. He and his wife and their four children presently live in Westport, Conn.
Richard C. Bradley has been promoted from associate professor to professor of physics at Colorado College, Colorado Springs. Ric, who is the author of numerous professional articles, was an assistant professor of physics at Cornell University prior to joining the faculty at Colorado College in 1961. He was awarded his Ph.D. degree at the Univer of California in 1953. Ric and Dorothy with their two sons and two daughters live at 1730 North Cascade Avenue in Colorado Springs. He is a member of a famous Dartmouth skiing family which includes brothers Dave '38 and Steve '39.
Dr. Gordy Van den Nort, assistant professor of Neurology at the Temple U. School of Medicine was a guest speaker at the 7th National Conference on medical aspects of sports. His topic dealt with head and neck injuries in football and the problems involved because many players _ are afraid to report them until too late. Dick Ostberg continues active in the Sherborn school system. Presently serving as chairman of the school committee, he was just elected to a two-year term on the Regional District School Committee.

Ben Jones has been elected Executive Vice President of the Monarch Life Insurance Co., Springfield, Mass. Ben first joined Monarch in 1947 as an agent and three years later won the company's highest honor, the President's Cup, as the leading agent in the company. He was the first Monarch agent to sell over $1 million of life insurance in one year. In 1951 he was promoted to agency supervisor. Two years later he moved up to general agent of the Cleveland office, in 1958 to regional vice president, and in 1962 to his most recent post, vice president and a member of the board of
I was mindful when I started that I would set a record for brevity this month. There are many reasons, none of them any good. As they say in Da Nana, "Sorry that happened." We'll do better next month.
