Remember the Fund Drive! Our class is ahead of at least one earlier class and two later classes, so far - please stop postponing your contribution, this is the last month of the drive.

Robin Carlson was down here at Penn for a few days to research some international law topic for his requirements at Dickinson Law School. He's editor of the school paper up there and from the looks of one edition, it is quite a job. I received a card from Skip Mattoon telling me of his intentions to be at Class Officers Weekend in May. Since this column is due before that weekend, I won't be able to let you know of all that went on in Hanover about our class and other alumni activities, but Skip's next Newsletter should have some information for you.

Before hitting the marital news, Bill Lamb received his Master of Engineering degree from Thayer and has accepted a job with GE in Kentucky in research and development areas. There are about fifty other trainees at that location and Bill was elected president of their Trainees' Association. He's married to the former Marcia Ingram of Norwich, Vt., and has a daughter, Melissa Anne, age 16 months.

As I reported earlier, Jay Shumaker planned to go to Central America for a two-month study of tropical diseases. Well, Jay is now in San Jose, Costa Rica, serving his fellowship in a hospital there. He'll be back at Harvard in time to receive his M.D. in June. In other medical news: Joe Ruwitch and George Gates are graduating from Washington University's Medical School in St. Louis and have received internships. Joe will serve an internship in surgery at the Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. George will be at South Bend Foundation Hospitals in Indiana. And, Bill Bonnell, at the University of Oklahoma Law School, won the annual Practice Court Fellowship Award at that school.

Engagements: Ken Meyer and Carol Ann Rauscher of Tenafly, N. J. She's a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana College and works in a library in Englewood, N. J. Bill Pierce and Sharon Lee Templeman of New Britain, Conn. She graduated from Bates College in 1965 and now is a graduate student in the Smith College Department of Theater and Speech. Bill is at B.U. Law School after a couple of years aboard the "USS C. H. Roan," an Atlantic Fleet destroyer. This month will mark the wedding of RonSchecter and Margaret Strum, a Juilliard graduate and a flutist. Ronny is in his second year at NYU Law School. Dick Gero plans a June wedding to Frances Jane Chapman. Dick will receive a master's degree from Yale (I don't know in what field); his bride graduated from Skidmore and has received a master's from Tufts. Chris Wiedenmayer is also engaged - to Anne Iselin Morgan of Lutherville, Md., a Radcliffe alumna. Chris, as you all know, is a lieutenant (j.g.) aboard the "USS Standley." And, Phil Wyckoff will marry Jennifer Anne Ravencroft — both are former natives of England. She graduated from schools in England and worked in public relations in London before coming to this country. Phil spent two years with the Peace Corps in Indonesia after graduation — but now Ive lost contact with just what it is he s doing.

Still more: Aron Grcenwald and Ruth Pollack are engaged — she's a UConn alumna and a secondary school German and history teacher in Connecticut. Aron is an executive trainee for New York lelephone. Miss Ann Margaret Kayajan will wed Buddy Bruggeman — or has done so already. Buddy was at Harvard Med School, spent some time as a researcher for the Lederle Laboratories, and will return to Med School next September. His bride is a Simmons graduate and teacher in New York. And last for this issue — Kenneth Siedler and the former Karen Gunzmger were married in Brattleboro, Vt., in March. Ken graduated from Tuck and is now with IBM in Hartford. Wayne Sloper was best man — and where is the Slopes now?

That wraps things up for another year. Please don't neglect your responsibilities to the Alumni Fund Drive. And - watch for Skip's news about events at the Class Officers Weekend. See you in the fall - and have a fine summer. I hope to have an "Esq." after my name by that time . . . good luck to all of you who have similar aspirations.
