This month's column will be mostly devoted to "whereabouts" matters. Card writing season is just around the corner so inasmuch as a flock of address changes and modifications have accumulated we'll bring you up-to-date on them. (Truthfully, though, there's a shortage this month both of narrative material and of time; the latter is due to having spent last weekend in the north country, including a few hours in Hanover at the UNH game, plus preparing for the Princeton weekend activities of the executive committee, gathering together some gear in hopes of a late-season salmon fishing trip to New Brunswick, and putting in an occasional appearance at my Hartford Life In surance Company desk so as to be kept on the payroll.)
The UNH game was a pretty good one, as season openers go. Statistically it was a very close contest, despite the 21-0 final score in the Big Green's favor. Holding the boys from Durham on our one-foot line, seeing Tom Miller get off a 66-yard punt to the UNH 3 yard line, and watching sophomore Jim Chasey's aerial effectiveness were among the things which gave us our money's worth. The team will be required to put forth great performances if it is to come out in front of the other Ivy League teams, but at this writing Dartmouth has beaten a team which out-scrimmaged Harvard and has won a scrimmage over Boston College, which went on to drub Navy decisively.
