Another football-frolic weekend is history. The Brown weekend in October found 80 plus classmates, wives and children gathered in Hanover for the all-too-short reunion. With class headquarters again at the Shady Lawn Motel in Hartford, Vt., the group stayed busy with the executive committee meeting and an on-the-patio cocktail party at the motel on Friday. Saturday found the group assembled at a most enjoyable lunch with Betty and Cliff Jordan before the game, a rain-soaked game in which the Big Green uncorked its only real offensive punch to date in a 48-0 rout, and a Saturday evening of fellowship at the Tom Dent Cabin. To you, Betty Jordan, again the heartfelt thanks of the assembled group for your most gracious hospitality before the game. On hand were Terry and Phil Shannon, Marge and Bob Paulson, Eliot Mover, Laura and Paul Caravatt, Shirley and Joe Michael, Mary and Stan Newton, Doris and Ed Pirie, Al Ungar, Pat and Ted Smith, Floss and Johnny Brooks, Emmy Lou and Gordie Sleeper, Jean and Steve Hull, Vesta and Vic Smith, Ruth and John Leggat, Barbara and Ted White, Allon and Shorty Pierce, Mary and Bill Woods, Ginny and Harry Hampton, Joan and Moose Rowan, Gina . and Griff Strasenburgh, Liz and Dave Hewitt, Ruth and Don Sisson, Betty and Cliff Jordan, Zoe and Paul Newman, Rosalie and Don Cutter, Fred Berthold, Edie and Geoff Maclay, Jane and Tom Yates, Nancy and Pete Beck, Ash VanDuzer, Joanne, and Ed Crane, Molly and John White, Rickie and Don Cole.

The most serious gathering of the weekend was at the dedication of the new '45 memorial weather instruments on the Inn corner. This memorial to our World War II deceased classmates was dedicated in a simple but effective ceremony at which FredBerthold, George Colton '35 (vice president of the College) and Eliot Mover spoke.

Much time and effort are already being expended to make our approaching 25th reunion in June '70 a truly memorable affair. Remember to keep the dates of June 18-21, 1970 encircled in green, and please pass on any and all ideas to Paul Caravatt and his hard working group.
