The most interesting explanation for a '45 move comes from Bob Roberts of Edina, Minn., whose words we quote: "The change of address involved a move of less than a mile. We had a neighbor who did not like our pet crow too well (imagine that!!) so I moved the small zoo we own to a nice fouracre site. I have worked for the same construction company since World War II and have owned same for about five years. Mostly busy raising the kids which gives us much fun, but not too 'newsy.' Have a year-round cabin in Wisconsin where we spend most of our time weekends and summer."

Ted Safford reports a reunion with Nancyand Jim Dickson before the Harvard game. Jim is a Department of Health, Education and Welfare sectional head in Washington, D. C., and presumably Ted is still busy with his medical practice in Ridgefield, Conn. See you at Sugarloaf this winter, Ted.

Long overdue in this column is the latest on Dick Tracy, thanks to his good wife Helen: "Dick is a full-time guidance counselor at Conard High School in West Hartford, Conn. Coaches freshman track for Trinity College in the spring. Calls square dances weekends, heads up YMCA ski school at Colebrook weekends, and teaches tennis and supervises park in summers, teaches economics at North Western Community College evenings. He's trying hard to support five daughters, oldest is freshman (Secretary's note: a sophomore by the time this is written) at Cornell on scholarship. She's smart like her Dad. Youngest is three." To you, Helen, many thanks for the note, and to you, Dick, congratulations on your busy and most satisfying life.

The Class extends its sincere sympathy to Bert Martin on the recent death of his wife Allene.

Dick Murray, ever the source of most interesting news, checks in with the following: "It hardly seems possible that my two-year tour as director of the Centro Cultural Sampedrano (U. S.-Honduran Binational Center) in San Pedro Sula, Honduras is more than half over. The good Lord willing, late next summer my family and I will be heading back to _ Tucson, Ariz., where I will resume teaching. We have enjoyed our stay here in northern Honduras very much despite the long rainy seasons, the horrible unpaved roads, etc. It has been especially gratifying to be a part of this small and somewhat humble Binational Center which contributes and means so much to the peo- ple of San Pedro Sula and environs."

Both to Dick and to Pete Beck, whose letter follows, go a hearty well-done from the Class for their efforts to spread their talents among the world's less fortunate!

Pete, an ophthalmologist in Portsmouth, N. H., writes "Just returned from a week of ministering to the Tarahumara Indians in Sisogouchi Chi, Mexico in the Sierra Madre mountains. So near and yet the white man's influence is very superficial in this survival culture where more than half the children don't survive largely because of protein deficiency. Ever try to tell someone to do something every four hours when time has almost no meaning?; or consider the future of a 27-year-old female, who because she's blind, is allowed to starve after she's returned to her family."

The '45 family continues to grow. Ned Newdick announces the birth of a daughter, Vivian Ann, August 25, 1967. Ned, based in Boston, operates in the Department of Defense's supply agency. Ray O'Crowley, an air force major with a home base of Bellevue, Neb., added his third boy, Patrick, as of May 16, 1967. This makes four for the O'Crowleys. Congratulations, men!

Bob Zildjian, a subject of Alumni Album in a recent ALUMNI MAGAZINE, has a few words - "two boys and a girl, lovely wife (Secretary's note — agreed, Bob, enjoyed her company on Mt. Lafayette last summer!!), and home, good business (in cymbals as usual) and traveling too much, as usual."

Here and there ... Don Hawley, president of Hawley Products Co. (plastic composites), has been elected to the board of directors of his firm's parent company, HITCO. ... Frank Youngman is the branch manager (Portland, Ore.) of Great Western Chemical Co ... Bob Katherman was recently elected president and general manager of Johnson Discount Co., Sioux City, Iowa. Until March ...
