The 1968 Alumni Fund campaign is now under way and 1906 starts off with contributions from seven members. Once again NedFrench is the first contributor as he has been for several years.
Harold Fish and Bill Page are helping out again this year and they deserve the thanks of the Class for the help they will give.
The members of 1906 will be glad to hear that four friends have sent contributions to Dartmouth College in memory of ArthurChapin. Everyone will agree that this recognition is well deserved.
A letter from Thurlow Gordon Jr. advises that his father is in good health and goes to his office one or two days every week. Says his father's hearing is not too good and his biggest trouble is forgetting.
Winifred Glaze writes that Ralph is back in the hospital after having a paralytic stroke.
On April 6 Phil Chase will need a large cake to hold all of his birthday candles. And on April 9 Watson Smith and on April 21 Hamp Howe will need larger cakes for their birthday candles for they are four years older than Phil.
Among the passengers on the airplane which was hijacked over Florida's Lake Okeechobee on February 21 was Nat Leverone. He was returning to his Florida home when a man in a cowboy outfit ordered the pilot to fly to Cuba. After landing in Havanna the plane was allowed to return to Palm Beach. Big excitement but no casualties were reported.
