On April 4 I had the privilege of spending the afternoon with Bill Page in Philadelphia. He looks as young as ever and while he is not very active in baseball he has become very active in Health for the Aged. He is especially interested in the aspects of diet and nutrition.
Because of his interest in this field Bill has asked the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, which is just being organized, to incorporate teaching in nutrition in their curriculum and they have assured him that they will do so.
As you know Max Hartmann is back in the United States and I have finally received a letter from him. Says he has been busy trying to get one of his grandsons in Dartmouth.
After the peace and quiet of Spain and Germany he feels that there is too much excitement around him here and he is thinking of going back to Mallorca in the winter and Wiesbaden in the summer.
Haven't heard anything lately about Ralph from Winifred Glaze so hope his health is improving.
Catherine Chapin will be in Hanover in June to see her grandson graduate. BillPage will be there also for the same purpose.
Walter Dakin is now living with his daughter at 11633 San Vincente Blvd., Los Angeles, Calif. 90049.
I hope the members of 1906 were busy during May writing checks for the Alumni Fund. As of May 1 only twelve classmates and thirteen widows had sent in a contribution. A very poor showing.
On June 3 Bill Bodwell celebrated his birthday in a Nursing Home. While a birthday card will be late I am sure he would appreciate hearing from all of us. Address c/o William I. Randall, 129 Concord Street, Framingham, Mass. 01701.
On June 26 Nat Leverone will be expecting a birthday present from Martha.
