If you think Hanover winters are long, snowy and coldernhell you ain't never been to Little Alaska here in Minneapolis. The snow is so deep a tribe of Indians could march down the street and all you would see is a bunch of bobbing feathers. Half the statues in town are pedestrians who stopped to adjust their earflaps and froze solid. Wait till the pigeons get a load of THAT in the spring . . . it'll be pigeon paradise.

SPOTLIGHT LETTER OF THE MONTH for March goes to Bill Bull, famous Californian and surf fisherman. Bill wrote three pages ... which ought to totally humiliate you non-correspondents to tears (and maybe words). First off, Bill hisself is in Mountain View, Calif., working for Hewlett Packard. He designs products and is a mechanical engineer. Bill and Susie are expecting a little bull (Snicker) in May. The hot scoop from Bull (Hot Bull from Scoop?) is that WillieCooper is doing interesting scientific things for Lawrence Radiation Labs in Livermore, Ariz. Tim Shryne, man of mystery, is in .Billings, Mont., managing the district office of the telephone company. Reports are that Tim is forced to supervise 40 nubile young operators ... poor Tim. If Dave Skuce ever got divorced, would his wife be an ex-Skuce?? (Boy, Heathcote, that was really dumb!) He's not getting separated, calm your fears, matter of fact, he has two kidlets and is a stock broker, and stock brokers turn away from an investment like two little dividends. (P.S. to Dave: you deserved a better write-up than that, but I couldn't think of anything witty to say (obviously) so that's what came out.) Back to Bill Bull's report Bill Cane is in the S.F. area, last reported to be teaching English at Woodside High. Bill also wants to insert an ad in Where's Who to discover the whereabouts of Fat Daddy, John Williams,Andy Morse, and Gim Burton. Burton's in NYC, but the rest will have to speak for themselves.

Now for some Hairs from The Clipping Pile. . . . Bill Mazeine is an assistant vp of the Valley Bank of Springfield, Mass. That was reported by alert '50 Class Secretary Ed Tuck. He also says he sees Pete Palin stomping around Hartford from time to time.

Ernie Goff was recently admitted to the NY Bar to practice in Rochester. All this is after a long hitch in the Navy including some work at Navy Justice School.

Great Galloping Geezers. . . . Terry Rogers is not only a doctor, not only an Air Force doctor, but he's a bloody (bad choice of terms there, sorry) Aerospace doctor. Terry is stationed at Lockbourne AFB in Ohio. Evidently they don't send all the aerospace M.D.'s to Houston... or maybe they're gonna launch the next moon shot from Bearsnout, Ohio. In any case, we can all rest easier for having Terry on infirmary duty. Terry's wife, Joy, is prettier than he is, but can't shine shoes as well. That's why she's only a nurse.

Two last quickies ... Bob Strumpf has been promoted to manager of operating budgets for Western Airlines in Los Angeles and Lenny Donovan is Controller for Norton Company Refractories Division in Worcester, Mass.

Bob Elmore and Larry Holden are Co-Chairmen of the 10th Reunion. If you have any hot ideas on that subject send them to one of them birds or to me and I'll pass them along. Jack Reno, as many of you know, is now our Numero Uno Money Man and Head Agent. Give Jack all your cooperation and all your money or I'll tell the pigeons about you.

Peace, brothers.

New head agents Jack Reno '61 (l) andBill Pierce '62 attended the Alumni FundWinter Clinic in Hanover in January.
