This column marks the last edition of a series of class notes stretching back over the last five years. One of the functions of the 5th Reunion gathering of the Class is to elect a new slate of officers. I feel that it is important to elect a new Secretary every five years in order to bring a new sense of vitality to the class notes column. I want to thank all those members of the Class who have helped me by supplying information for this column.

I received a letter the other day from Harold Weiler. He writes that he and his wife Brenda are now living in Portsmouth, Va. He received his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Virginia and now is doing his internship at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. They spent the late winter in Brazil where for eight weeks Harold studied infectious diseases in Rio at two universities. They spent one month as a partner of the Alliances project in southern Brazil where the main problem was worm infestations. He writes that, "Even though we were living off the economy, we think we have been spared." Other information that was contained in the letter was that Graham andKay Evans had a son Graham Carl, who was born this past July. They are now living in the Hyde Park area outside of Chicago where Graham receives his Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Chicago this June. The Reverend Jere Smith and his wife Jeanne and their son Jere Jr. live in College Park, suburb of Atlanta, Ga. He is curate of the St. John Episcopal Church there.

Some brief notes of marriage notices I have received include: Stephen Feldman who was married to the former Susan Dressier in February; also William Risley was married in late March to the former Miss Dianne Klemm in Broadhead, Wis. Bob Freeman and Margo Harmon have recently announced their engagement. They plan to be married in September. Dick Redington and Caroline Ann Follansbee announced their engagement at a reception in Albuquerque, N. Mex. Dick is now a faculty member of the Albuquerque Academy there. Don Waite and Miss Barbara Bogert were married at Christ Church Methodist in New York. The reception followed at the Gotham Hotel. Don, after receiving a Master's degree from Columbia Graduate School of Business, is now associated with McKinsey and Company, international management consultants.

Sandy McGinnes was recently a guest speaker at the annual meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Central Connecticut. Captain Russell Grohe, the last of the vanishing breed of ROTC, is presently stationed with the 4258th Strategic Wing at U Tapao Air Field, Thailand. Captain Grohe, a Strategic Air Command communications officer, supports B52 stratofortress bombers which daily attack Vietcong targets.

Frank C. Herringer has been elected a principal of Cresap, McCormick and Pagel, Inc., in New York City, an international management consulting organization. DonMutterperl has joined the firm of Francis L DuPont and Company as a general partner. James Bell, who was active in the computer progaram here at Dartmouth, has joined the Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard Mass., as a systems programmer.
