Earlier this year Martin Lower T'61 was elected vice president of Booz, Allen & Hamilton. Inc. in Chicago. Prior to joining the firm Martin held positions with Proctor & Gamble, Colgate-Palmolive, and Sealright Co. Gregory Spurr T'50 has been promoted to senior vice president of The Bank of New York. Greg joined the bank immediately after graduation from Tuck and has moved steadily up the banking ladder since that time.
Richard Lewis T'55, formerly a partner with Ernst & Ernst in Boston, is quickly making his presence known in Maine where he is now managing partner for the Portland office of E & E. Dick spoke earlier this year to accountants in that area. Robert Marrs T'55 has been appointed associate direcor in the expense management division at The travelers Insurance Companies in Hartford, Conn. Bob joined the company in 1969 as an administrative analyst.
Fred Simmons T'66 has been appointed an investment officer of Massachusetts financial Services, Inc. Massachusetts Financial is investment adviser to several investors funds in Boston with combined assets of nearly $4 billion. Ralph Hersey . " has moved from Boston Safe to investors Bank & Trust Company. Ralph "as an excellent opportunity in this new position to help develop and build the trust department. The president at Investors Bank is Bob Brace D'52, so there is some green around the firm in addition to the money. Richard Husband T'62 joined in the formation of a Boston-based advertising agency, Clark & Bernard & Husband. Rick had been with the Bresnick agency in Boston prior to this move. Our best wishes for success go with Rick. Joseph RaffaeleT'68 has been promoted to product manager in the Toiletries Division of The Gillette Company. Joe went to Gillette from General Mills in Minneapolis.
Finally, and bringing it down to the most recent class, Glen Kendall, who graduated in 1971, has been selected a White House Fellow for 1971-72. He is one of 16 U. S. citizens chosen for the seventh group of White House Fellows and is the third Tuck School graduate in the last five years to receive this outstanding award. Other Tuck alumni were Gerald Garbacz T'65, now director of corporate long-range planning for Boise Cascade, and Howard NewmanT'57, commissioner, medical services administration in the Department of Health, Education and Welfare. Both Mr. Garbacz and Mr. Newman are currently members of the Board of Overseers at the Tuck School.
