We have had fair snow conditions this winter and I hope all of you who ski have enjoyed the sport as much as our family has. X heard that John and Pat Hatheway recently bought an old forty-acre farm in southern Vermont, Jamaica to be exact, with a lovely old house which the Hatheways plan to use both summer and winter. The real advantage is that it is only five miles from Stratton, the best ski area in the lower part of Vermont. After a position as field representative of CARE in Turkey where Dave, Cynthia and the children lived for two years, the Dave Walsh family is now back in our country living outside of Washington in Bethesda. The conveniences of modern America will be much appreciated after their having lived abroad the last few years.

Last month I reported Ann Stewart broke both legs skiing. I find this was erroneous and that she broke both bones in one leg which is bad enough, but certainly better than first reports. Colin reports she is mending well, but will be somewhat incapacitated for awhile. Colin and Ann now have four daughters. Catherine, their oldest is almost eight. Colin's architect-design firm has been receiving some recognition recently. A home with a twin pavilion concept they designed won the "New Ideas in Housing" exhibit contest in Denver, their hometown. A very nice article discussing this house appeared in the Denver Post.

The Smithsonian Institution recently appointed Wid Washburn Chairman of the Department of American Studies. He and Lelia have two sons, Harold and Edward. The Washburn family live in Washington, D. C. just a few blocks from the capital.

Those of you who were in Hanover the summer of 1944 might remember a tall lanky fellow from California named Roger Ruch, who only stayed a semester. Word was received by the College of Roger's death during the middle of 1965, but no details are known.

After working for Republic Aviation on Long Island for a number of years as an engineer, Bob Rubino has recently moved to Endicott, N. Y., where I assume he is with IBM which has a large operation there. Bob's old company Republic went out of business. Bob and Marianne have two sons, Dennis, nine and Glenn, four and a daughter, Susan, eight. The Bill Wheelers have moved to another house in Baldwin, Long Island. Bill and Rosanna needed more room for their growing family. Bill is still a consulting engineer in New York. After practicing psychiatry in Manhattan for several years, Marv Hader has moved back to Brooklyn where he originally lived. I hope he still finds time to ski occasionally as Marv can still be remembered for his interest in DOC Winter Sports. Last information I had on Ed Tarca he was still with the Space Technology Laboratory in Los Angeles. I did hear, however, that he moved from Downey to nearby Torrance, Cal.

For many years Roger Jackson lived in Waterbury, Conn., where he had a clothing store. I understand he is now living in Louisville, Ky., but I haven't heard how he occupies cupieshis time there.

With the., economy booming Marc Wyse finds little time for anything other than running the successful Wyse Advertising Agency, Cleveland, of which he is president. Marc and Lois live in nearby Shaker Heights, and my last information indicated they have a daughter Kathy, 14, and a son Bob, 10.

As most of you know by now, we are well into the 1966 Alumni Fund and our new head class agent, Lou Perry has spent a great deal of time and effort in developing a new class agents organization for the class although many are the same loyal agents from past years. Lou is determined to show that his work will result in our largest dollar amount ever, so I hope all of you will particularly remember Dartmouth this year. The success of our classes' future fund efforts in the years to come will be dependent on this new organization.
